I have uses this for several fences and it works great for small applications. I used my Ranger and winch to tighten barbed wire with it. My only complaint is that for barbed wire, the slot while open is too narrow to easily insert. Also, it could use a small protrusion to help you pull back on the lever. Overall it's a good tool for the job.

Bought device to stretch barbed wire, worked fine for a few pulls then it quit gripping, allowing the wire to slip out which was annoying, disappointing and dangerous. By the time I got to use it the return time frame had expired so I'm stuck with it. DO NOT BUY
