Down firing sub box fits great in 2023 Silverado. Excellent bass from Kicker subs. CAUTION: Amp is powered more than subs so Best Buy tech lowered the power gain so the amp doesn't blow the subs. CAUTION; Aluminum wire package that is included is not good. Best Buy would not use it. Had to buy quality copper wiring kit from Best Buy. Bass Boost is great. Installed within reach and is a must have when switching to news of other music sources. Highly recommend Best Buy for installation. I gave 5 stars because a year after installation bass sounds great and I have had zero issues. I hope that since then the seller has changed the amp and wiring in the package.

Once all the items arrived I was pleased with the quality and certainly the cost. Having done mobile audio many years ago this was a fun flashback to the good old days. The subs, while entry level, provide the perfect amount of clean bass. I did modify the enclosure with risers as you’ll see in the picture which helps prevent them from slapping the floorboard during operation. I also modified the floor mat lip to accommodate the position of the subs. The factory Bose system was tapped using a Kicker LOC (Line Output Converter) and it’s critical to install the adjustable bass knob as many songs require different levels of bass. I found I had to bring down the crossover on the amp from the factory 80-200hz to right about 80-150hz. Adjustments are easy and the sound is incredible. If you know what you’re doing, it’s a fun job and you’ll be happy with it.Update: so it turns out one of the subs was defective (voice coil detached from cone) I returned it as requested and they ended up sending me a different subwoofer. Apparently the one that was supposed to be sold with this kit. Now I’m going through the mess of returning yet another wrong sub (kicker c12i2) for the black cone version. I’m tired of the back and forth, holding up my end as a customer with delayed/incorrect shipping not to mention how the first sub showed up. The box was destroyed, surprised it even made it. They need to step up their shipping standards and send correct components for what is sold.
