It didn't fit. My faucet wasn't an American Std or Moen. I had measured the diameter of the hole by pressing a lump of Blutac over it and ordered according to that size but it slipped right thru and disappeared into the hole. Turns out I needed a Moen 151644 Replacement Part which fitted perfectly as the button extends out over the inserted backing.

Shipping was quick and the button looked great. But it was too small for my faucet and fell right through the hole. I did manage to get it out, but there's no way this will work even with glue. There's nothing to glue it to. I'm not sure of the model of my faucet, so was taking a shot in the dark, didn't work out this time, oh well!

A little expensive and you can probably live without it if you can remember or don’t mind experimenting to find out which way is hot and which is cold.

We have bought this twice and decided the second time to glue it in, the first one fell out and is MIA. The color is uneven, but it works.

This is the smallest item I have ever ordered online. It fits my American Standard tap perfectly and does a good job of solving the hot/cold confusion problem if installed correctly. It can be installed by anyone with a thumb.
