Completed this task in about 4 hours by myself with a drill. Intended to save some space for when I have company and it’s definitely a homey design that I found easy to design around. Pretty sturdy and handled a good night of fun lol. I paired it with a 6in mattress, but it will not hold your pillows or big comforter when you put the bed back in the cabinet.

After assembly, the bed looks and operates great, easy to open and fold away. It will take 5 to 6 hours to assemble. A power screwdriver with a bit assortment will help speed up the process. It is very heavy and may take 2 people to assemble. The instructions have pictures, but written instructions would Help. There are video instructions on the prime web page. Take your time, examine all pictures thoroughly and with time and patience , your murphy bed will look great.

We love the finished product BUT it took 3 days and 44 pages of assembly instructions to put it together. And then one of the spring loaded locks didn’t work and they finally offered a small refund so we ordered the part. If you don’t like assembly instructions do not buy this product.

It took us awhile to put together. Total of 8 hrs but we did a little each day. All the pieces were there and directions pretty easy to follow. We really like it. We ordered a trifold memory foam mattress from Target. Love it. Glad we purchased the bed

This bed is exactly what we needed for our spare room that wasn’t being utilized much. This will give us an extra bed, just in case it’s needed, instead of using the sleeper sofa in the living room.It took me about 4 hours to put together, working solo with manual tools. A drill likely would’ve cut about 30 minutes to and hour off that.The bed looks and operates rather well. My only complaints would be that it’s a little hard to pull open on carpet(but not too bad, just have to pull up a little while moving in and out), and the drawer sits so close to the bottom of the Murphy door and it has already tore up the white pad that is there to protect the platform.Plenty of room for a 6 inch thick foldable queen mattress inside with some room to spare.If you’re looking for a great Murphy bed at a good price, this is the one to get. It was packed very well, and even with the abuse from FedEX, it arrived with only 2 extremely small dents in the woods that weren’t even noticeable after putting it together.

I always try to see the good side of things but this really frustrated me, If there would be a zero star option, thats what I would give. I ordered this murphy bed for my grandchildren to sleep when they visit me but unfortunatelythat did not happen. The bed arrived in a million pieces and not only were the holes misaligned there were several damaged pieces of wood. The wood was not real, it was pieces glued together. I should have saved up and purchased thesolid wood option, I guess I have to save up and get a better one.
