We bought this to provide some artificial shade over our concrete pad. In Kansas, the concrete easily reaches over 120° daily in the summer which is dangerous for dogs and humans alike. The shade feels like quality material. I don’t believe it will wear down easily as long as it isn’t rubbing against something. The hardware does the job but you do have to play with it to get the tension where it’s needed to stabilize the shade.

Took about 1.5 hours to install. I used some 4x4 tied to my deck. Ratchet strap over to the 4x4. Good material. Can't complain for the price.
