Best shade for the $. It took a little trial and error to get the two sails I bought set up, but it was well worth it. These are quite literally “sails†in the sense they will catch wind and rain if your angle isn’t steep enough for water run-off or if you don’t have them properly tied down. I used two strong anchor points into the end of the trusses through my facia and made the 3rd and highest attachment point with a ratchet strap to a tree to make sure it wouldn’t catch water. Some other types of “shade sails†are permeable and allow water to seep through, so if you’re trying to hang a shade sail flat or close to it, I would recommend that kind(if it rains in your area). I live in Florida, it’s gets hot and rains, but these sails not only block the sun, but the rains too. You could stand under this in a downpour and not get wet. They are also very aesthetically pleasing, gives a flowy nautical vibe. They are strong enough to consider taking them down for a hurricane thinking they would rip the facia off of my house. I bought two, at separate times, and the older one is slightly mildewed, but it would be easily washed with a soft brush and soapy water..

I've been buying Sunny Guard sails for many years. Always a great product. This the first time I bought the waterproof version and was both disappointed and delighted how good of waterproofing it has. Only disappointment was that it retained water and either the wind or I had to empty it as it was causing a revers balloon effect and stretched the sail. However, when the water was emptied the sail went back to it's form quickly in the hot Florida sun. To solve my issue I installed several brass grommets in the sail for drainage. Happy customer again!

Provides shade and is quite water resistant. It has gone through some really windy conditons and it held up great. I'm not sure how well it'll hold during the raining season as water that has been sitting in a spot has soaked through.

We have this installed over an antique display in a city park and it looks very impressive. I measured one foot longer at each point of installation and that was perfect. I basically followed what the instructions said to do. It is a tough material that resembles a canvas style awning which goes great with a rustic look of the antique display. It has been up all summer through wind and storms and so far so good!

Shades and covers the car, easy install and removal. I waited til we were doing cement work on the driveway to have the two posts installed. So far, size, fabrication and shade are perfect! Hung it at an angle for rain cover - will update once we get some rain, but so far very happy with this product.

We bought 2, they have worked great!You HAVE to get the right angle so as to not collect water.We tied them with wire to tries near by. They stayed up all summer, never leaked or came down.We had several wind storms, they did great.Remember, must get one corner up quite a bit to not trap water, test with a hose!!

First of all, the actual coverage is 9'x9'. They are measuring loop hole to loop hole, which doesn't provide an accurate size. I needed a 10'x10" , that's not what I got. Having said that, it was a good price and it arrived on time.
