Normally we just put our bikes on the bed of the truck and have to remove the front tire of one of them for both to fit. We bought a bike rack for the back of our truck to solve that problem and that solution was great until it came to storing it. It's bulky and heavy and I have a scratch on the shin of my leg to remind me how un-fond I am of that thing. So when I saw this pop up, I had to try it out. It came in a smallish bag that I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be able to put it back into. But I thought the pad was top notch. It's very thick and I pulled on the tabs to see how tight they were sewn on and they seem to be pretty well made. The pockets are a nice touch with thick velcro and zippers but we really have no intention of using them unless we want to set aside anything that belongs to the bikes we don't want rolling around in the back of the pickup. We have a Ford F150 and it seems to fit it pretty nicely. I had to fold in the little tab where the camera sits. Since we only have 2 bikes, that will do. I would think that if you carry the max amount you won't be able to use the camera regardless because the wheels will be in the way anyway. Pricing was decent. Time will tell how long this will last. We don't take our bikes out much so I don't think we'll be using it to the max. I think this thing will last years for us.

This tailgate bike blanket is well made. The material is PVC like what is used for rooftop tent covers. My experience is that pvc holds up really well even when left in the sun. The pockets for tools are nice and this is setup with dividers to hold 5 bikes if they'll fit. I don't have 5 29ers to test, so not sure if something that size would be problematic. The hole for the camera and tailgate handle lines up great on my 23 Ram 1500. The flap didn't seem to have an obvious place to go, so I tucked it in between the blanket and the top of the tailgate and that seemed to work.I was able to install this by myself, but it certainly would have been easier with a second set of hands to help route the straps under the tailgate.I installed this to get a sense of the design and I have a few concerns. First, the straps that go under the tailgate are pretty standard nylon straps, and I'm a bit worried that over a long ride they might rub on the paint. If your truck is already a bit beat up, it shouldn't be a huge issue. Mine is still pretty new, so I plan to tie microfiber rags around the straps where they'll contact the bottom of the tailgate. Second, I can't compare this to the higher end brand names, but the padding seems pretty thin to protect these thinner metal tailgates. I'm going to add something in between the fork and the pad just to give it a bit more cushion. I plan to keep my truck forever, so some bruises won't break my heart, but I'd like to avoid unnecessary damage if I can.Bottom line is that if you have a well used truck, you'll be able to use this out of the box without issue. if you're still trying to keep your truck in a bit nicer shape, this might require a few little additions to be safe.

Who doesn't love a family bike ride in the Winter? Up until now, it was a pain to load up our bikes awkwardly in the back of our Tundra, as we have beach cruisers and the bed of the truck is a little short. I had seen these protective mats for the tailgate of a truck, and they seemed some convenient to use. We decided to take the plunge and order one and we're glad we did. This tail gate cover fit our Tundra perfectly offering full protection front and back, and was easy to lay down and strap on. In addition there's a couple pockets to store some of your odds and ends! If you don't want your truck scratched up, and wanna get riding more, this is perfect for you!

TLDR diecent pad, but might not be for you winter fat bike snow cruisers. This pad has its pros and cons, I like the fact it doesn't have huge billboarding (logos) it's just plain black with reflective stripes. It's basically the perfect sized for my tailgate (2015 colorado). The latch/camera flap is just big enough for access. The bike frame straps seem good. Tire straps are a nice touch. Tool pouches are small, but it's nice they exist for small tools and such.BUT, all that said, I went to install it to check it out and one of the attachment strap buckles exploded upon tightening it. To be fair the temp is in the low 20s. I probably should have been a little more gentle tightening the strap full well knowing plastic can be brittle at sub freezing temps. I'll probably put some kind of metal buckle on and run it.

Recommended. Cheaper than the ones at big box stores. Feels durable at the stitching points. Glad they didn’t smear some random name/logo all over the pad, those are really ones you stay away from. I like this one especially bc it has built in reflective strips and comes with a bag to pack it up in when not using. I only used it on one bike so far, so I cannot speak to its efficiency with more than one bike. But so far so good. Doesn’t block anything on my 22’ Frontier

I haven't used one of these before so take that for what it's worth. But I do like some of the features I see on this. It has tie downs that I think will be perfect for making sure the wheel is secured and it also has pouches for each tie down area. I assume anything you take off the bike can be conveniently stowed in the pouch. I have yet to put this on my 2024 Tacoma and the only thing I am concerned about is that the rear camera window may not be low enough. I will have to test that when the weather changes. But for now, this is a great quality and well made pad.
