Fitting in between the 10X and 40X objective lenses, this is the perfect magnification for some subjects and it should be one of the standard objectives supplied on microscopes but there just isn't room for them all and they always leave this one out. I removed the 4X from my microscope so that I could have this one available all the time. These all-metal AmScope objectives seem to be the best basic objectives available on Amazon and I got a whole set of them to replace the ones that came with my less-expensive Swift microscope and I wasn't sorry. (You need to have a matching set so that you don't have to make drastic changes in focus as you switch between different brands of objective lenses, something which gets old fast.) These are the standard DIN threads and they fit just fine on both my AmScope and my Swift microscope.

Great lens for the price. Pretty sharp for the price. I replaced the oil base lens with it. The oil base lens is useless to me due to eye floaters

I'm just an armature who likes to look at leaves, insects, etc. through a microscope, and this 20x lens is perfect for that. It fit on my old student microscope without a problem, and I was looking close up at a mosquito's wing in a few minutes.Recommend

Excellent objective between 10x and 40x. Great for microlife. Wanted a Plan obj. but not available from Amscope in this magnification. I have to admit I don't miss the fact that it is not Plan. I gladly recommend this objective.
