Used this in place of a 100X oil objective -- less magnification of course, but easier overall. Good views thru the scope.

The original image felt a lot better than this picture shows.Fits my Swift SW380T. I used it to replace my included 100x oil with this 60x air, just like apparently everyone else here. For those interested, this was slightly shorter (The image is as clear as you can get while faithfully magnifying as described through air.The construction is really impressive. Feels like a proper instrument. Better than my black Swift objectives. Feels heavy and the spring mechanism is smooth. The plastic canister that it comes with it feels nice to me and well constructed too. I'm very happy.Would highly recommend.

The product - like all Amscope products I've ever purchased - was more than reasonably priced. It, of course, fit my Amscope microscope - and it worked even better than anticipated. (Since I own several Amscope items - I EXPECTED it to work beautifully - but it worked even better than that.

We bought the B490B Amscope which comes with a 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x objective, and 10x and 20x eye pieces. However, with the 100x, you need to use oil, as the 100x doesn't work very well in the air. The image doesn't look good even at 100x+10x=1000x without oil.But the the 60x objective, the subject of this review, with the 20x eye piece for 1200x without oil fills the gap--for those times you don't want to mess with oil. The 1200x image is much clearer than the 1000x image obtained with other configuration just mentioned. All in all, I am glad I bought, and recommend.

Seems to work fine; very convenient to avoid oil.

This is what I need for my microscope if you don’t want to not use the oil lens.
