The slides are supplied in a nice wooden case with a sheet of paper listing each slide and the slot number it is located in the case. The slides all had fingerprints or dirt on them but a quick wipe and they were easily cleaned. The range of subjects covered is nice and most of the slides are well prepared. Quality of stain was good and some of the slides I have viewed so far were really outstanding ( Housefly Compound Eye,Human Spermatozoa, Rabbit Testis). A few slides are of very small objects and it was difficult to locate them as there weren't many on the side. I got a set of 5 slides with my Celestron microscope and I can't help but feel that the Celestron slides are better quality. Overall the value for money with the AmScope set cannot be beaten. I will be buying their other sets in future. You should probably check what objects are included in each set so that when you add to your collection you minimise the number of duplicated slides. My kids are inspired by this kit.

Wonderful product! My new favorite place to buy slides. I would gladly own several sets. Super clean, clear, and well chosen slides. Super useful - students love them! Out of all the sets I own, this one is the highest quality! They are well labeled, and slides are mounted clearly - no strange glue globs or broken specimens -- I've received crushed specimens on the slides from other companies, but not this one. Thank you, United Scope. These are beautiful and high quality. I'm in love! Intend to buy more the minute the opportunity arises!

First off I should state that I am a pre-med student taking pre-requisites for medical school and I purchased this set to become more familiar with histology (the study of tissue) particularily in mammals for my Human Anatomy and Physiology class. I have a standard binocular microscope with an oil imersion lens. For the money I found these slides to be very well prepared and comparable to the slides my college bio lab had.Some of the samples are a little bit thick but you would have to spend 3 to 4 times the amont of money for better preparations. If you are a pre-med student or biology major this is a great set to work off of.Some of the fixatives and dyes are basic and you can't see absolutely everything but you can see most major tissue landmarks and structures. This set has over 22 slides of mammal tissue from a wide range of locations so there is a lot to look at and study. Most of the samples are from a dog or rabbit but there are a few human samples.Mine came very nicely packaged and undamaged. Easy to store and clean. I would definately purchase another AmScope set based on this one.

These slide are much better than I expected. I am a 6th grade life science teacher who saw these as a great deal, but was surprised with the quality of the staining and the selection was great. Used with a digital microscopes for classroom discussion, or for kids to use in a round-robin station based activity these slides are great. I would also recommend these for homeschoolers as they breadth of specimen would allow for your kids to start to see connections between different types of life. A great concept for kids at any age is to see patterns of similarity on a microscopic level of very different types of life. This set of slides is helpful for us to find those similarities .... and differences.On a side note I had kids come in at lunch to look at these slides because of the sharp images and variety they could examine.

The slide set itself is a good set. The samples cover a wide range of specimens, and can easily be used to compliment just about any discipline of biology. The quality is fairly good; the staining is well done to allow easy viewing. I did notice a few minor chips in the glass, but so far nothing that has been in the way of viewing the samples.However, there are a few weaknesses that I think should be addressed. First of all, the case could use some improvement. The case I received is wooden, and does look lovely. One half of the case holds the slides neatly, and it's easy to get the slides in and out of their proper spot. The other half of the case is cut too wide for the slides and they are constantly slipping loose, getting jumbled up with their neighbors. Whenever I need a slide on that side of the box, it's a bit of a mess. Nothing that renders the slides useless, but why couldn't they have made both sides of the case fit properly?The other problem I had was with the slide list. A sheet of paper accompanies the slides telling you what is on each. For many of the samples (botany especially), only the scientific name is listed. Now, I happen to not be up on all my plant scientific names, so this is a little bit of a chore to look these things up online. This wouldn't be too bad, after all, this set is undoubtedly meant to be used by higher level science classes, but some of the names are spelled incorrectly. So not only do I not know what the sample is, looking it up becomes much more challenging. I've only found this spelling issue on a few slides, but it seems like an embarrassing error.For my gripes though, I do really like this set. I'll be able to get a lot of use out of it for homeschool, and it's even entertaining the adults.

I bought this for my daughter and she really enjoyed the variety of slides. I am not a professional scientist but for my amateur expectations this was a great product at a good price. And it comes with a cool wooden storage box.

Pour compléter le cadeau fait à notre fils de 8 ans pour Noël, nous avons acheté cette malette.Elle possède une grande variété de lamelles pour occuper notre fils pendant des heures !Le seul point négatif est que la description est en anglais. Rien de dramatique pour autant, car nous lui avons trouvé la traduction sur internet facilement pour chacune des lamelles.

Premetto che i vetrini in questione non sono adatti ai bambini o anche solo agli appassionati. molto ben dettagliati, soprattutto nelle sezioni vegetali. un po' meno belle le sezioni istologiche ma penso dipenda fondamentalmente dal mio microscopio. confezione in legno davvero molto bella.consiglio l'acquisto agli studenti universitari. complessivamente mi ritengo molto soddisfatta.
