The 0.3x needs sufficient height for it to focus, at least 14†working area. If you have a SM-4 that means this won’t work which is what many other reviewers are complaining about. I recommend a 0.5x lens for those folks. However, I have a sm-6 and was able to raise the entire scope and now have about 14-15†working area. My next upgrade is to get a 4k camera instead of 1080p for the extra clarity/pixels.

I have an OMAX 5X-10X-15X-20X-30X-60X Binocular Stereo Microscope and was looking for a slight magnification reduction. I took a chance that this AmScope lens would work with my instrument. The lens is compatible and does exactly what I'd hoped it would. I like the long working distance and have had no problem focusing.

I have an AmScope SM-4TPZ Stereo Microscope and I have the same problem as the reviewer with an Amscope 3T24Z, it won't focus at any distance. I thought I would give it a try because my model is an SM-4 and this is an SM Barlow, but no such luck. It almost focuses at the minimum zoom, and comes nowhere close to focus at any other zoom. It is not just focus though, the optics of the 0.3x barlow are obviously plain wrong, the image appears smeared, or torn. I'll return it but I'm still disappointed that this functionality is not available for my Microscope!

Worked perfectly. Note that the working distance is very large. Some microscopes may not be able to accommodate sufficient working distance to focus properly.

My microscope (Amscope 3T24Z) came with a 2x barlow lens. That gave me maybe 3 inches of working room under it. I want to perform microsoldering under there. I need more working room. So I bought this. It does not focus. EVER. At ANY distance. I tried from 0" - 48". Of no use to me. Not with my microscope. Now I have to buy and try the 0.5x barlow lens. Maybe then the 0.75x barlow lens. Until I get this right I guess.

Totally unable to focus with this!!! Information says it doubles the distance but it's not true. At the max height it's almost ok. Mathematically 0.3X is not 1/2... So it's almost tripling the working distance which makes it useless with the Amscope microscope.

Ich habe mir beide Barlow Linsen geholt 0.3 und 0.5Kurz und Knapp beide Linsen funktionieren, aber die 0.3 er Linse macht nur Sinn wenn man im stehen arbeiten will. Deswegen in meinen Augen nicht einsetzbar.Die 0.5 er Linse schafft einen Arbeitsabstand von ca. 18cm. Das ist auch schon viel, aber gerade noch akzeptabel zum arbeiten.Hier liegt auch der Vorteil der Linse. Von ca. 9cm auf 18 cm den Abstand erhöht und man kann perfekt mit der Heißluftstation unter dem Mikroskop arbeiten.Ich hoffe, ich konnte bei der Kaufentscheidung behilflich sein und freue mich über jedes Feedback über die Kommentarfunktion bzw. die Nutzung des Abstimmungs-Buttons. Falls Fragen auftauchen werde ich die gerne so weit es möglich ist beantworten.
