A must have to protect the microscope optics. My microscope did not come with this lens leaving the optics exposed when operating at 1X (7X to 45X range). This lens might appear a little expensive for what it does, but the optics are good, and it is worth the investment to protect the more expensive internal optics of the microscope.

There are only 48 mm male threads. There are no female threads like shown. You can not attach any more lenses . The quality is good, It is made to attach a light ring on the bottom. This lens arrived in a crushed box,

I've used Amscope's microscopes and microscope products for 7 years now and have no complaints on any of them. This lens was clear and flat. It provides great protection for the objective while not degrading the image in any respect.

Ordered this 1x barlow lens from Amscope and received email that they only have this item in silver not black as pictured. Amscope did not have an accurate estimate when black will be in stock. They immediately canceled my order when I asked for backorder estimate. Amscope is trying to get rid of silver 1x barlow lens. Item still shows black in stock - this is not accurate and deceptive. Good luck unless you want silver.

Als einziger Barlowlinse in meiner Sammlung von AmScope fehlt dieser leider der zweite Gewindegang für den Staubschutzdeckel. Und da es mit 1x Vergrößerung ja keine echte Linse ist sondern Fensterglas finde ich 48,99 EUR schon happig. Werde sie behalten da sie bei 1x Vergrößerung die innere Optik beim Löten vor Schmauch schützt. Lieferung ebenfalls kritisch: Als einzige kam diese Linse ohne Pappkarton und Schaumstoff umhüllt, also nur Plastiktütchen in Noppenfolie - ist aber gutgegangen.AmScope, das konntet Ihr schon einmal besser!
