It doubles the working distance and field of view of your microscope and cuts magnification power by half. This lens comes with a 1-7/8" (48mm) mounting thread and goes with VS-1F/VS-2F/VS-3F/VS-5F/VS-7F/VS-8F/VS-9F series stereo/industrial microscopes.

This works great with a Nikon SMZ-1 on a boom stand. It gives plenty of room to do circuit board rework and soldering, and I can easily see small components. The working distance is about 6 to 7 inches measuring from the bottom of the reducer.I was also surprised it was made of all metal, I was expecting plastic construction.

Added this lens to the bottom of my generic stereo zoom microscope in order to double the working distance between the microscope head and the in-focus object. Worked perfectly.

The product is good but like the title says the product was missing pieces there was no clear plastic cover for the main lenses the eye pieces would slop around making it hard to focus the eye pieces the packaging seems to look like everything was thrown in not in there spot unfortunately i have to return it and i packed it better then the way they sent it to me.

It does seem that there are several different diameters even from the same manufacturer. 47, 48, 49, 50mm...so measure your microscope carefully before ordering!

el control del calidad en artÃculos usados o devuelvas no funciona esta claro que si la rosca esta golpeada no encajara bien en el microscopio comprar usado o devuelto es una apuesta arriesgada : /
