These are fairly cheap and they make getting fire going simple. I put nugget down a few smaller pieces of wood or some bark on top, some larger wood above that and light it. It does not light super easy like lighter fluid, but with fire stick lights easy enough. I have only had to use one per fire. That is only about .20 to .25 each and it is simple

My favorite fire starter. I use my wood stove constantly throughout the cold months, These starters make it possible. I wait for sales and get them early or late in the season. I will still purcase them no matter the cost. A fine product( keep away from pets).

I have used pretty much every kind of fire starter on the market and these are my favorite.Pros:Puts off a lot of heat quickly once lit, which will get your logs ignited with a minimum of smoke.Works great everywhere I've used it -- from the wood stove to the outdoor fire pit.I've never failed to start a fire with just one of these when used with reasonably-sized seasoned wood.Cons:Compared to other firestarters, this one is more difficult to light. I've found that I often need to hold a lighter flame up to it for a 3-5 seconds to get it ignited. It will catch more quickly if you loosen up the edge a bit between your fingers. The instructions have you put the product with the round side down, which takes a bit more thought to keep it from rolling out of place. They are a bit of overkill for most fires, but it is difficult to break these down into smaller pieces without a lot of crumbling.Overall, I have found these to be the best value for getting a fire started. They are not the cheapest option, but when you're using a firestarter you're expecting to get a fire started with minimum fuss which this product delivers.

Was happy to find these on Amazon, since the prior merchant no longer carries them. They work great in my wood stove. I use wooden matches to light, and they light every time. Just one starts the fire, even without kindling (depending on how dry the wood is). Great product.

These Lightening Nuggets work really well. Just switched from Green Spark, because I always ended up needing to babysit the woodstove and use 2-3 Green Spark fire starters and a whole lot of kindling. If you follow the instructions for the Lightening Nuggets, they really do burn for 15+ minutes. I've only ever needed one of these guys to get a great fire going with about half the amount of kindling as with the other fire starters I've tried. They don't light super well with a lighter though - I've found laying a long match next to them, closing the woodstove door, and letting them slowly light works best. Definitely the fire starter of choice!

Easy to light and get a fire going with no toxic fumes and reuses sawdust for a useful purpose.First saw product at a big box hardware and liked the experience.Pick up a box locally to see how much you'll like it, easy to transport, store and use. This last shipment arrived a bit wet, but didn't impact the performance of the product.

We purchased a box of these locally and they have worked well and burned clean so we set ourselves up for next season by saving some money and purchasing a bulk quantity. They are easy to store and light fairly easily. The shipper just slapped a label on the 2 pack box and didn't even wrap it. There was wood dust everywhere when we picked up the boxes as there is always some at the bottom of boxes from shifting of the product. If this was wrapped, the contents would have been contained in the packaging. Other than that little hiccup, the product itself is great and would recommend for anyone looking to ease their ability to start a fire. We have used it outdoors in our fire pit and in our wood stove.

I purchased these to use with my Solo Stove Mesa and Solo Stove Mesa XL tabletop fire pits. I initially used a Paraffin Wax Lighter Cube but feel that these are a less toxic option. They take a bit more to light than the Paraffin Wax Lighter Cubes, but start the wood pellets burning just as well. I purchased a small butane torch to get these started. Using a regular BBQ lighter took too long and too much fuel to get going.
