I needed an adapter to extend my RCA connection from a closet to a living room, and only had an esiting ethernet port nearby to use. I purchased this model, as well as a $10, unpowered adapter. While hoping the $10 adapter would work to save some $$$, it ended up introducing a low-level hum into my subwoofer. I thought I could live with it, but decided to install this adapter just to give it a try. It is dead silent, and for some reason, I think the sub sounds better for some reason (in addition to removing the hum introduced by the cheaper adapter). I guess it's worth the $30 difference, so I'm keeping this device and will return the other adapter.

So far these are a great solution. I install Low Voltage equipment in businesses. The front desk at some of these stores want to play music over a Bluetooth receiver. I need to remote the Bluetooth receiver from the front desk to the back room so different staff can connect easily and control things from their phone, iPad, or laptop. These little gizmos work very well. Two installs are playing over stereo 8ohm and one is a 70v system. The sound is good and there has been zero failures so far. (Three year span)

I didn’t utilize this product until after the return policy had closed. I connected the two units with 50 feet of shielded Cat6A. Instantly, a feedback started before I even plugged it into any other output and continued to build and build until it’s basically a constant chattering. then I connected RCA at both ends and used a 5 foot cat six brand new out of the package and the same effect was happening AND no sound was being sent to the mixer. I actually dislike that they’re sending the power over the ethernet. I would prefer to just plug or at least have the option to plug both ends into an outlet the red power LED links rapidly with the chattering feedback. Completely useless Chinese trash.

Poor quality, device failed 16 months after purchase. While it worked it worked well.

After experimenting with several different audio over cat6 options, I finally had success with this product. I have a cat6 run that is about 200’. There is some feedback and it is not crystal clear compared to other inputs I have connected to my amplifier, it is by far the best option I have found out of several different audio over cat6 products.
