Before getting this battery tester we would keep a battery about 3 to 4 years and then get a new one - we never really knew if our battery was good, weak, or near failure. Now we can easily see the condition of our battery and make replacement decisions based on how well the battery is actually working.

The tester worked as described. It took out all of my concerns of my battery condition. I use it mainly on my marine battery which does not have CCA rating. I use 120 for this rating. I would buy again.

The battery in my whole house generator is difficult to remove and reinstall. This gauge makes it easy to confirm the condition of the battery without removing it from the generator. It's easy to use and lets us have the peace of mind to know that the generator will start when it's needed.

This is the second ANCEL BST200 battery tester I have purchased - one unit for my house in Ohio and the second unit for my house in Florida. Great little battery test units and their results MATCH dealer load tests, so I have faith in the ANCEL testers' accuracy. I recommend these units !

I was looking for an inexpensive, accurate, and easy to use battery tester and bought this one based on other positive user reviews. Well, I've used the tester on 3 different batteries and was really impressed - it certainly meets the criteria I had, so this was a good purchase. This tester (BST200) would be good for anyone who wants/needs to check the status of the battery in their car, truck, lawn tractor, etc. without having to take it to dealer, or someone else and paying for the service. The instruction manual provides simple easy to follow instructions so that even a novice should be able to check their battery status within a couple of minutes.I would definitely recommend the BST200 to anyone looking for a reliable and easy to use battery tester.

Produit livré très rapidement. J’ai maintenant testé ce produit sur les batteries de mes voitures avant charges et aussi après. Des le branchement sur la batterie, la mise en route du lecteur se fait en quelques secondes (par défaut en anglais). Le pré-réglage est très facile et intuitif. Les informations sont lisibles, précises, correctes et cohérentes. Comme décrit, il est possible de mettre ce lecteur en français (8 langues possibles) mais il faut savoir que la notice de mise en route fournie est uniquement en anglais. Mais vraiment, même pour ceux qui ne comprennent pas l’anglais, c'est très simple d’utilisation. Une pochette de rangement (non incluse) aurais été bien utile. Donc globalement, je recommande ce produit.

+++TL;DR+++Nie wieder von einer kaputten Starterbatterie, vor allem im Winter, überrascht werden! Der Batterietester erfüllt seinen Zweck und gibt schnell einen Überblick über den „Gesundheitszustand“ der Starterbatterie.+++Verpackung+++Verpackt ist der Batterietester in einer einfach Blister-Verpackung – allerdings frustfrei! Einfach zu öffnen und auch bei Bedarf wieder zu verschließen.+++Lieferumfang+++Geliefert wird neben dem Batterietester selbst nur noch eine kurze Anleitung zum Gerät. Diese ist ausschließlich in English aber kurz und bündig.+++Funktionsumfang+++Das Gerät unterstützt alle gängigen Batterietypen (Gel-, AGM- und normale Blei-Batterien). Zusätzlich werden verschiedene Messmodi (nach CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN und SAE) unterstützt. Der zu wählende Modus steht in der Regel direkt auf der Batterie. Die Menüführung ist einfach und verständlich.+++Prüfen einer Batterie+++Getestet habe ich das Gerät mit einer defekten GM Starterbatterie mit 360 CCA (cold cranking amps). Man kann die Batterie im eingebauten als auch im ausgebauten Zustand testen (entsprechende Menüoption wählen). In meinem Fall war die Batterie bereits ausgebaut. Nach der Wahl der Messmethode muss noch der Startstrom (CCA) in Ampere (A) eingestellt werden, danach wird die Batterie direkt geprüft.Wie nicht anders zu erwarten zeigt das Messgerät in meinem Fall an die Batterie zu ersetzen. Statt der 360 CCA hat diese Batterie nur noch etwas über 200 CCA und ein State Of Health (SOH) von 46 %. Ich habe die Batterie 3x gemessen. Das Ergebnis war immer in der gleichen Größe – +- 2 %. Das Ergebnis hängt natürlich auch davon ab wie kalt die Batterie ist. Draußen im kalten Auto wären die Werte sicher noch schlechter gewesen.+++Zusammenfassung+++Den Zweck erfüllt das Gerät. Meine defekte Batterie wurde von dem Tester zweifelsfrei festgestellt. Das Gerät macht insgesamt einen wertigen Eindruck. Die Batterieklemmen scheinen aus Kupfer zu sein. Das Gerät kann auch auf Deutsch gestellt werden allerdings ist die Übersetzung alles andere als gelungen. Ich empfehle die Sprache auf Englisch stehen zu lassen.
