When I first learned about these, there were limited options. Basically one or two. What I had to use was a thin strap. He was still growing, and I had to let it out all the way. It started getting tight where it left a permanent mark on his face, but I had no choice :( It was either that or no walk, and he requires long ones.This one is a thicker, wider strap. And it's meant for large dogs. I got the biggest size of the last one (maybe they sent the wrong size? It was supposed to fit a great Dane and I have a Pitt/Lab mix). This one fits so nice and comfortable, and works great! If your dog doesn't slow down with the no pull harness, this works great!I would like to add it's sturdy. Every time I looked for a replacement, people complained about the buckle popping open. I walked my boy for his 7 mile walk, and absolutely no problem! Not even the marks :D

The padding on the nose area is comfortable. Definitely not for smaller dogs. Our goldendoodle puppy is about 60lbs and it's not tight on her as scrunched as we can make it. This leader is effective, no more pulling. Love it!

I have a +90# German Shepherd. I had to quickly replace the head collar (that was altered) when it was misplaced during a late night vet visit.This is the second one I’ve tried. We’re still trying to get the adjustable fit that works best for both of us.

My dog is a 90 lb lab and I bought the large one and it fits very big. You can’t adjust it to fit to size, it rubs him and gets into his eye. Not a good fit

This is a solid performer, was easy to fit once measured correctly, and looks good. It is well made and seems secure, but it lost the first star b/c it did come unsnapped at the latch once when Jed was pulling trying to get after a dog we saw. It fits his snout/face well but is a tad small to snap shut on his neck. It worked almost immediately to curb pulling when the leash was hooked only to this. I felt it was too harsh and so now I connect to both this and his Martingale collar. This method still hold him but not nearly as effectively. I will say it lost a 2nd star b/c it keeps getting loose under his snout where the leash attaches. Rather than pull down, it ends up along the side of his face and he looks ghastly uncomfortable. I also am not sure how to mount the extra bit of leash like strap with a clip at the end. Is this to clip between leash and collar? Unsure as there were no instructions as to how this is to be installed. After multiple times of it coming unsnapped and or Jed pulling out of it b/c it keeps loosening, I would not buy this again - I'll stick with Gentle Leaders.

Pros: Sturdy and comfortable design when worn. Buckle included to secure to a harness when introducing it to the pet. Cute design for personal taste. Great for training reactive dogs or dogs that pull.Cons: pet owners may have to work with their dog at first to get them comfortable at first. This is no fault to the products but relies on the consistency of the user.I recommend pet owners try it out In the home first to get acquainted with it. Use positive reinforcement when it is worn properly. Avoid letting the pet attempt removing it, For example excessive pawing or rolling around.10:10

What a difference it made! Now walks are enjoyable and easy, no more pulling. It’s great for training a puppy. For the first few days my 7 year old puppy was trying to pull it off, but she got used to it because she knew she was going to the park!I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

In order for this -- or any similar -- product to work effectively, it must be properly fitted for the dog. There were no instructions or guides to help. Not sure we can actually adjust this one to fit our dog. Will be looking for a better product.

This is my first time buying this brand, and now I would not buy anything else. The control you have is incredible. We have two 90-pound Goldens, and they have never had a better fit. Our Vet loved them and said she was also going to purchase the brand.
