Works well for 2+ years now, no problems. It's rather compact. I used it in caves, on hikes, inside my car to check air vent flow, and as a Skywarn Storm Spotter to measure wind speeds. The tripod-mount hole is very useful.

Works very well, and has a higher max speed than most others! Was able to test and get pretty accurate readings. It seems like it might be a bit fragile, time will tell.So far no problems with reliability.would be nice if it was back lit.

Simple. Straightforward. Clearly presents the info I wanted to get wind readings from my porch. It's a fave. One caveat re "easy to use" was difficulty seating the battery. Sent the first one back because three people tried to seat the battery, and none of us could figure it out. Thought something must have broken. When replacement had same problem, I kept at it until I finally worked it out. You actually have to pull the clip back toward you, insert the battery, then push the clip back into place. Simple enough, but goes against all my experience (and that of my friends).

The anemometer itself is great. While it feels as cheap as it is, the cups are very sensitive and it is at least as accurate as models costing 6x the price. The camera thread makes it easy to mount using lots of cheap options. The compass on top is about 120 degrees off of north, so that's useless, but honestly, who would use that 50 cent compass for anything anyway.

Works well, tested it against other, much more expensive models, and seemed just as accurate. I like it!

Accurate and easy to use. Essential to long range shooting. Built in Compass is an asset. So easy to setup and use.

Within 2 days impeller froze and unit stopped working. This was in average 7-13mph winds, 70-75°F temps. YMMV but in my book this is a crappy product. Too bad, cuz I really wanted to Love it! Returning.MY OLD REVIEWSuper simple to use, great size, being independent of wind direction is VERY helpful. Within 1mph of GPS speed.Tripod mount works great. Feels good in hand. Some of the plastic bits appear "cheapie" but it's working great so far! I don't know how it compares to a $700 anemometer, but I purchased both a $15 and a $50 here on Amazon, and this one blows them away!

great design that just needs to be held vertical in any direction, so you don't need to know exactly where the wind is coming from like other fan windmeters to get an accurate reading, has average and high wind readings, seams reasonably well constructed, the windmeter is a little larger than most other windmeters I have owned but the design is worth it.
