It gives quick measurement results. If you're looking for scientific accuracy, this probably isn't the meter for you but for general use it is adequate and functions consistently. I don't have anything to calibrate it with to find a standard, but the temperature is within a few degrees of what my thermometer says. It's fairly user friendly with good instructions.It would be nice if it had a case to protect it from dust and other elements.

While I don't have the kinds of instruments to truly measure how accurate this device is, what it reports seems to line up with reports from various online weather services. The device is easy to get up and running, though the beeps it emits when you press the buttons are rather annoying. For amateur weather enthusiasts, this is something you'll probably want to add to your toolkit.

This thing works great, it's extremely sensitive. I really like the fact that is tells you the temperature of the air flowing through it. It tells you air volume and speed in several different units. There are just 2 things I do not like about this. One is the beep when you turn it on and when you press buttons to adjust, it's very loud and no way that I have found to turn it off. The second thing is that your unit setting are not saved every time you turn it off. So every time I turn this on I have to set it from celsius to Fahrenheit and also change it to MPH.

I am a long range shooter and knowing wind velocity is mandatory if you expect to hit the target at 1000 yds. I was looking for one that I could just leave in my range bag and I got this one for that purpose. I compared it readings to my other anemometer that cost a lot more and the readings on wind velocity were reasonably consistent over the range of wind velocities I tried (low = 4mph, Hi = 20 mph).Some other reviews have reported that the temperature readings they were getting were 3 or 4 degrees hi. I did not find that to be the case. I keep my house in Arizona set at 72F and that is what this anemometer reported the temperature to be.It would have been nice if they had provided a hard case to protect the device. For now I am keeping it in the cardboard box it came in until I find a small hardcase for it. Maybe an Oakley sunglass case.

This is a good tool for different situations. I plan to use it for wind speed readings on recreational outings. Accuracy in my situation is not a priority, but I suspect this instrument is accurate. The different speed measurements make this tool useful for many applications. There may be a learning curve to get the best results depending on how it is used. Worth considering.

Tested this during the moderate winds we had coming in on the last cold front. Temperature was within a degree of what my outside gauge stated. The wind speeds are within about 6mph of what the TV weather stated to expect. I have no real way to test deeper but it seems to be very close. If I had ANY complaints it is a lack of a lanyard. This is one of the few devices that need one that did not include one. Will definitely be adding one of paracord to it.

This is a good tool to have for an all around Home DIYer. It has various options for velocity (mph, km/h, and more) and flow (CBM, CFM, CMS) The MPH is listed as mil/h to reduce confusion with metric measurements. It even has a backlight to view readings in darker spaces.As far as I can tell, the flow reading is pretty accurate, but some readings do have their downsides.The temperature reading is not accurate, and seems to be easily affected by just holding the unit. Even so, letting it sit in one spot for several minutes, the temperature shows 4-5 degrees higher than actual room temperature, showing 72-73 degrees F in a temperature controlled room at 68. It would not be good for measuring the temperature coming out of ducts as it takes a very long time to adjust, especially going from cooler temperatures to warmer. The instructions do not offer any information on possible calibration of this feature.

This is a low cost way of measuring local wind speeds, Im sure they're is a few industrial uses for this, for example if you wanted to calculate the energy output of a small wind turbine or something, you could also use the information for target shooting, which is the application I think is most interesting. both the temperature of the air and wind speed can determine balistics.But to be honest, its a simple-to-use device; without using a manual, you can get the information you need easily. and it has applications for quite a few different tasks, id recommend this if your using this for sailing or with your drone, espeically
