As someone who uses a laptop as my main computer and has a growing collection of gadgets, I was running into serious port and charging limitations. I needed a docking station that could handle my wide range of devices, from my mechanical keyboard and speakers to my smart watch and Bluetooth earbuds, all while keeping things organized. The Anker 14-in-1 Docking Station has been a perfect fit for my setup.Pros:Handles All My Devices: This docking station has more than enough ports to connect and charge everything I use daily—my DAC/amp for headphones, speakers, mechanical keyboard, webcam, and mouse. It even allows me to charge smaller devices like my Oura ring, smart watch, and wireless Bluetooth earbuds without cluttering my desk with multiple adapters.Convenient Front Ports: The front-facing ports are a game-changer. I can easily connect my USB thumb drives, Yubikey, or charge my iPhone and smart watch without digging through cables or rearranging things behind the dock. It makes swapping devices quick and hassle-free.Smart Charging: One feature I appreciate is the smart charging capability, which automatically adjusts the amperage based on the device's needs. I no longer have to worry about using the "right" charging adapter for each gadget. Whether I’m charging my iPhone, Oura ring, or Bluetooth earbuds, I can trust that the dock handles it safely and efficiently. Plus, the 160W total output means I can charge my laptop, phone, and watch simultaneously without any slowdowns.Fast Data Transfer and Dual 4K Display Support: The 10Gbps transfer speed across the 11 ports is ideal for quickly moving files between USB drives or external hard drives. Though I’m only using one display for now, the ability to support dual 4K monitors is a nice bonus if I decide to upgrade my setup.Smart Display: The dock’s real-time display gives me immediate feedback on power levels and connection statuses, which keeps me confident that everything is working as it should. It’s a thoughtful feature that ensures I can focus on my work instead of managing devices.Cons:Size and Price: The dock takes up a bit of desk space, so it might not be ideal for smaller workstations. Also, while it’s packed with features, the price might feel high if you don’t need all 14 ports or the power delivery capabilities. That said, for someone with a wide range of devices like me, it’s worth the investment.Final Thoughts:The Anker 14-in-1 Docking Station has solved all my port and charging issues. From my mechanical keyboard and DAC/amp to my smart watch, Bluetooth earbuds, and Oura ring, it keeps everything connected and charged in one place. With its smart charging feature, I no longer need to juggle different adapters for each device. If you’re a power user with a variety of accessories and devices, this dock simplifies everything and makes managing your setup a breeze.

Everything a modern Docking Station SHOULD be. Other brands should key off this build.--Small form factor but POWERFUL and feature-rich--Very hefty and solid build (--->keeps the unit from moving around or being pulled over by weight of cables plugged into it)--No front-port Connectivity required- everything goes in back--Front ports are for Charging modern devices. One is even PD. Other Front ports are both Data & Power- all are clearlymarked >Why would I want Charge-Only? Answer: If you have a device connected to the Dock via another method-- think a Jabra Speak2 speakerphone, connected by its Bluetooth adapter, but you also want to operate it while plugged into Power, unless your Dock has available Power-Only ports, you cannot- and plugging in its USB cable to "keep it charged", results in 2 instances of that Speakerphone appearing in the computer.--2 HDMI ports-- not 1 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI, as many Dock manufacturers have done. >Makes it much easier to connect 2 monitors. Also available are USB-C video if needed--Power Button enables "Power On your Laptop While Its Lid is Closed" functionality >Simply enable "Power On with AC" in your laptop's BIOS. Then Save/Exit BIOS. Press Power button for 5 seconds (must be 5, see the instructions)- Now, everything is Off (Ensure the laptop is also Off). Now press Power Button. "ANKER" logo appears on the LCD screen and that Power-On signal is sent to the laptop, and turns it On. At end of day to turn off, simply press Power Button for 5 seconds. Proof that you don't "have" to have a Dell Docking Station for your Dell, in oder to leverage it's Power Button to start up each day.

This docking station is a beauty, and I love having it on my desk. There are a few shortcomings or want-to-haves that I wish it included, but overall, I am very glad to have purchased it to replace the Dell docking station I received from work. Here are some pros and cons for my particular use case:Pros:1. Flexibility of use. I can switch from my work windows PC to my personal MacBook without having to stress about sufficient power delivery via usb-c.2. Port access on the back. Lots of usb-a and usb-c ports for data transfer and charging. Be sure to note which ports are specifically for power delivery on the front left - those do not have data transfer.3. Appearance/Mini screen. I love the information display, and it is handy to see how much power is being sent to my devices.4. Software. The dock manager software is helpful if a bit barebones.Cons:1. Cost. The dock is a bit pricey, so if you can pick it up at a discount, that's your best bet.2. Lack of SD card slot. I wish it had one so I could download pictures from my camera without having to dig out a cable or adapter.3. Max of 160W - if you are charging a MacBook with the main usb-c cable, it maxes out at 100W, leaving only 60W leftover for any other devices from the front power delivery ports. This means if I need to charge my work PC and personal MacBook at the same time, I might need to use a different charger.4. IF you use a MacBook, you can only functionally use one external monitor. You can plug in two, but they will duplicate no matter what. Since I only have one monitor on my desk this is not an issue, but if you want to use two monitors, that will only work for PC. I have the same issue with my previous dock, so this is not a loss for me.Overall, a stellar dock and I love how it streamlines my desk. Anker once again comes through with a high-quality device!
