Exactly what I wanted/needed. I have been looking for an ultra portable, LOW-PRICED, high performance, SD card reader that is actually USB 3.0. Now I got it!For less than $10.00, Anker delivers a fast, extremely portable reader. The black glossy finished reader came in the standard Anker packaging. Out of the box, the reader is a plug and use device. Just place it into your USB port on your computer and the drivers will automatically install (Windows). When placing it into my Macbook Pro, I was able to use immediately. The reader itself is VERY small, lightweight, and portable. (I did not want to have to find a place in my laptop bag to fit a bulkier one). To display the size itself, see the photo I included comparing it to a SD card.I have only tested this product with SD cards, not Micro SD cards. Once you insert the reader, a blue light in the corner of the reader will signal on indicating that it is attached. Using two different SD cards with different speeds (SanDisk ExtremePLUS 32gb, SanDisk UltraPLUS 32gb), I transferred 10gb of data at one time. EACH of these transfers were extremely fast. Obviously the different card speeds displayed different times, however each were completed within minutes (whereas usually I would have started the transfer and got up to do something else). When ejecting the SD card, the blue light blinks indicating that you are doing so.The only con I have noticed is that when using the product on my Windows computer, I had to wait a minute before the SD cards would be recognized. Almost like the reader had to "warm up". I tried multiple USB 3.0 ports to see if this would change and it did not. This a minor con, however I wanted other consumers to be aware in case this happens to them. Note: This did not happen on my Mac.Overall this is a great little product. I would recommend to anyone who would like a portable SD card reader. Of course make note that this only supports SD and Micro SD, so if you are using a different kind, then this isn't for you. However, for most consumers this will be a great product that exceeds their needs.

So I wrote a different review about a power strip I bought. I bought this AFTER I bought the power strip because I was very impressed with the tech, clean layout, and it seems very stable.I had a malfunctioned Samsung microSD card that nearly started a fire and/or burned my laptop motherboard (no joke, literally burned me trying to get it out) so I went with a SanDisk microSD card and needed a reader so that I don't risk that ever happening again. Since the Anker platform strip that I bought was really good, I stumbled across an Anker brand reader and decided to get it.It was really easy, just plugged it in and immediately recognized the SD card. I've used it a few times now and no issues. It's USB3 and I was able to pop over a few gigs of music quickly - the reader seems to process data fast.Since I'm new to microSD card readers I don't really have anything else to say. If it's anything like normal data transmitting with USB sticks then I would say it blazingly fast. I will contest that if anyone IS having issues with copying over files quickly, it would be the motherboard (and that just comes from knowledge of computer building over the years). As an example, I plugged this into my laptop and it dipped a couple of times - meaning it will stay consistent rate of MB/S and then all the sudden drop for no reason. Nothing major, but I have been struggling with processor and heat problems on this laptop. On another computer it doesn't do that. Mild dips at times, but that's it.Overall I'm just putting a tech-wise disclaimer in defense of the product that if you have a slower bus speed on your motherboard or a laptop that's under 1,000$ more than likely it's just a normal power problem with dips. This is also not even a real issue anyways considering it doesn't effect much of the speed process. I think I transferred 12 gigs in a couple minutes - I don't fully recall but it wasn't like 10 minutes or something - I just let it do it's thing and it was done.So it's very good quality. I think I will be continuing purchasing things from Anker. Like I said in my other product review I'm new to Anker so I didn't know what to expect. So far so good. Speaker might be next on the list

Nice and compact. Good that it has slots for both standard and micro SD cards and does not need a connector cable. It worked for every micro sd card and native standard sd card but would not read some micro sd cards inserted into a standard adapter. I have other sd card readers with the same issue which why it is good this reader requires no adapter.

This brand has always been pretty reliable for me. It’s simple but good quality and easy to use. It does as advertised. The size is a tad bit bigger than a USB. Id buy again.

Falsely claiming 8 in 1. SD & micro SD only.Very expensive 2 in 1 card reader as it’s claimed to be 8 in 1 card reader.Amazon and it’s extensive resources should be able to verify its products specifications.

The card reader works like a charm. It is a valid usb 3.0 card reader. Speeds are good. But there might be slow speeds of read/write if the memory card itself isn't fast as a usb 3.0 port. So don't be confused by it. Check your card's performance class .I would like to point out a very minor but critical design flaw. There are two slots. One for microSD and the other for normal SD. But there's isn't any small symbol showing how the card should be inserted. I had to peek inside the slot with a torch to see the edges and how they fit on which side of the card (obviously the side where contact points are.) Any SD card has some edges and one slightly flattened corner. This was really confusing. So be careful not to insert the card with force . It might damage the slot.

35ギガ程のスマホデータを移動するのに使いました。15分ほどで完了し、エラーもありませんでした。本体はコンパクトですがしっかりとした造りで、抜き差しの際よれる感じも無く取り回しにも優れているように思います。買って良かったです。
