Place bait in back of trap Armadillos: Meal worms, sardines. Groundhogs: Cantaloupe, sweet corn, lettuce. Opossums: Vegetables, sweet apples. Stray Cats: Fish, sardines, canned tuna. Raccoons: Fish, marshmallows.
Step 2
Set the trap Set the live animal trap in the location of the nuisance animal. You can camouflage the trap by placing twigs and leaves on top. You can also leave an unset baited trap for a few days to entice the animal.
Step 3
Check the trap regularly Animals can become stressed if caged for long periods of time. Hot and cold weather conditions can also harm the animal.

We got this to rescue a feral mother cat and her kittens and it worked like a dream! Very sturdy very easy to use. And they didn’t tell you it comes with an awesome pair of leather gloves to use when you’re handling animals. This was well worth it and anyone who rescues animals or has trouble with animals on the property should get this.

We caught six squirrels in the first two days of setting it up and still going strong. We used peanuts in a shell as well as peanut butter on a cracker.

Was going to use this to trap a cat but I couldn’t figure out how to get it assembled (single woman who was totally baffled - no assembly directions came with it!). It appeared to be basically in one piece, but I couldn’t get it to stand up out of the collapsed shipping condition. I ended up calling Animal Control and those two guys looked at it and couldn’t figure it out either, so they used their trap instead and I sent his one back. Honestly, it was far lighter weight than I expected, so I was not sad to send it back. Happy they accepted returns tho, so I gave three stars for that.

Love the fact that it folds....I also followed the video instructions posted which helped greatly with quick assembly. Only issue I had is that it was too small for capturing a Groundhog so for that reason unfortunately I ended up returning it.

Used this product for about 3 months, have caught over a dozen mongooses here in Hawaii. A little flimsy but a little reinforcement does the trick. Good value.

I've had squirrels, rabbits, and others inside the trap, ate the bait and left. Don't waste your money on this crap trap.

Very durable! Would buy again. Been catching rats with this! My impatient dog bangs this thing around if we don't get to it first. Some how he get the trap open and dispatches the rats for us. I can set it back up no problem, no damage to the trap! I left it in the Hawaiian acid rain and no corrosion after about 2 years.

The cage arrived inside a box in its collapsed form. It took only about eight minutes to assemble - no tools required. Over a period of five weeks, I have trapped ten squirrels, two opossums and four doves. To prevent injuries to the animals, I covered the cage with a black plastic bag to keep them calm until I release them into the wilds, about five miles away. I appreciated the ability of the trap to be collapsed flat to take up less space in storage.
