Tested at NASA using ProStat's PGA-710 Autoanalysis System for electrostatic voltage generation and decay using real people - Engineers, Electronics Techs, and Mechanics. There is NO difference between wearing these or not. You generate charges sometimes more than 30,000 Volt and it does NOT readily decay without a path to ground. It's basic physics. Most people will not feel the rapid discharge of static unless it is over 2,500 Volts. You don't see the discharge spark unless it is above 3,500 Volts. Some of our semiconductor devices can be damaged by 10 Volts or less. Do not rely on snake oil products like this to protect your equipment especially if you work on open electronics. Real ESD Wrist band have a ground cord with a 1.0 MΩ to bleed charges off in a safe, controlled manner. Corded ESD wrist straps are cheap insurance. Follow the science and use them - not crap like this.Edit 1:What!? These are still out here. I must say they make for humorous discussion when conducting my monthly ESD Control training classes at NASA. The explanation of the Static Elimination Principle contradicts everything regarding known concepts of charge generation but I do feel like a real Master of the Universe when I wear 2 of the orange bands, reach toward my 250 kV generator, and proclaim, "By the power of van de Graff, I Am ESD-Man!", as sparks fly.

All winter, I have been zapped at work by every door and computer I touch, and I was tired of it. Decided to give this a try and it does dull the effects of static electricity but doesn't get rid of it completely. Zapping has dropped by about 60% and the zaps I do get aren't as bad as they were without the wristband. It helps but is not a miracle device or anything.

I'm sure it's not really to help static electricity! Smells funky too. probably made from old tires but the price is right

My son would not be able to jump on the trampoline at his friends house due to constant static reaction, like really bad. Until I got him this bracelet, he says it really helps!! Very satisfied with this product, wish I knew about this earlier !!

I bought this because I had horrible static shocks every time I left my seat and touched metal. Opened the package and they smelled bad but figured that may go away. I have been wearing one for over 3 hours and the shocks have gotten WORSE and MORE OFTEN. Feels like these do the opposite of what they are intended.SELLER DID ISSUE A REFUND SWIFTLY WITHOUT ISSUE
