I will not say it is for someone that would use a nibbler on a daily basis. There are a few times, like maybe once a year or so, that I need a tool like this. Have made do with what I had and it was more work than needed. Today I got my nibbler for this years project and it worked perfectly. Very happy with the tools performance and it made my project go so smoothly and fast. Now I am thinking I might have to use thin metal for more of my projects based on how well this worked.

I am doing remodeling at my house and bought this little tool to cut about 10ft of 100 yr old heavy duct work. It worked very well and still looks and cuts like new. I would have probably chosen a professional dedicated tool if I had to use it every day.

This nibbler will cut n aluminum sheet ( in this case a door kickplate) cleanly but is difficult to make a precision cut. I believe though with practice I could make a clean burr free cut using this tool. I have not tried it on steel or galvanized sheeting. But fr making guitar pickguards it works well with a bit of practice. I recommend if you are willing to practice enough to make a precision cut.

being a nibler, it works sufficiently well on 3 volt battery screw drivers. don't be in a hurry, but it works on many materials. vynol, think aluminum, plastic sheets, and cardboard.

I was skeptical about how well this item was going to work based on what similar models were being sold for on other sites. This is simply a case where "you get what you pay for" is dead wrong.I was absolutely speechless by how easily this tool literally ate it's way through the steel plate I had been grinding away at two days before with the ever trusty 4 1/2 inch grinder with a cut wheel in order to create the design drawn onto the surface. There is a slight learning curve as to which way the tool needs to face in order to fulfill the needs but after about two or three minutes I was happily and quickly on my way. If I had any concerns it is that this thing produces a LOT of curled steel bits that fall away and the cut path is approx 1/8 or 3/16 of an inch wide.Well worth the money spent and at this price you could almost get three for what others are selling one for. AND..you have an extra bit for when the first one ever goes dull. (remember to always use lubricating oil)

I purchased this for cutting some steel siding {barn steel} . Found out pretty quick that flat surfaces are easy to work with. Ribs cut at 90 degree are going to manageable but your going to have to work for it. Cutting through ribs on a angle forget about it. The head doesn't lend it self to that angles over ribs cut. With a little practice you can get some good lines and no burs like the ones you get from tin snips. I also used a 3/8" cordless impact and it worked even better than the drill did.

I would not recommend this item. I used it to cut corrugated metal panels. At first, it seemed to work well, but then the plastic end piece broke off the first head. So, I started using the second head and the same exact piece broke off of that one. I only used this tool for about 15 - 20 minutes, and I was unable to finish what I was doing.

Damn good tool. I have a $300 Makita electric nibbler and a Chicago pneumatic air nibbler. Their dies and punches don’t last long as one side of this one. They also cost as much as two of these! ( the dies and punches). You get two sides, ability to cut tighter radius’s longer wear, twice the value and better performance! Metal artist for 6 years, working 20 ga sheet metal. All of them that look like this are the same and imported, take your pick! Probably all made in the same factory! Two thumbs up! My plasma torch is lonesome now!
