I purchased with a little hesitancy, figured it would break after just a little cutting. Thankfully, I was wrong as it works really well. It cut through 14g steel without any issue and doesn’t show signs of wear.It still is a little odd to hold in comparison to a standard nibbler but it works well and for the price is an amazing deal.

I bought this in order to cut holes for the vents in corrugated copper roofing material. I am not a roofer, but I decided to install it myself and save money. I was worried that this nibbler cutter would be really bad at cutting because of how inexpensive it was, but I took the risk and hoped that it would last for this one job. Right after I ordered it I watched a YouTube tutorial about how to use it and the guy in the video was having a hard time cutting with it. I instantly regretted my decision, but to my surprise, when I used it, it worked like a dream. I realized then that the creator of that video was not using it properly. If you read and follow the instructions on how to properly use it, this product will perform above all expectations. What was a nice surprise, was the beautiful case it comes in and the pre-formed foam inside the case that holds each part in it's place. It's super easy to assemble and operate. You need to apply minimal force in order to make it go in any direction you want it to go. You can change the angle of cutting instantly and it will follow any type of curb, regardless of how complex. Honestly, one of the products that made me the happiest and saved me over $200, which is the price of a decent power nibbler cutter.

I’ve used a pneumatic industrial nibbler before. This product is a drill powered version of that. I was really pleased with how well this cut and it seems that it will stand the test of time.

You really need two hands to handle these. This means any metal siding needs to be clamped down and secured or you need a second person to hold the metal while you cut. I ended up abandoning these and using snips instead for cross cuts of the metal siding I was using. Probably cut faster too with the snips.

With respect to achieving a precise cut when working in proximity to a gas tank, this product demonstrated exceptional performance and fulfilled the requirements effectively.

Works great. The metal box can hold all the bits together and most importantly it protected everything from the rain during delivery.

I chose this nibbler over an electric metal shear, mostly because I already have too many tools. I guess a man can never have “too many toolsâ€... but what I hate the most is an electric tool that I will only use a handful of times a year.. if that. They take up space and the worst thing with buying a tool which only has one purpose... is exactly that! The propriety function of a sheet metal shear and the fact that it’s just one more thing that can fail on me, makes me think twice about shelling out the extra cash. This nibbler is cheap, compact, comes with a spare cutter and also has 2 spare heads.... one of which is on the opposite side of the tool... it’s function being beyond me. It doesn’t cut as fast as an electric shear... it only nibbles a tiny crescent shaving at a time... but it does the job and isn’t horribly slow. One advantage this has over an electric shear is that you can make really tight radius cuts with ease.. for example, the corners of a square cut.Warning! The shavings are extremely sharp and hard to see on the floor. I have been pulling these little half moon pieces of metal out of the soles of my shoes and have been poked a couple times when kneeling on the floor. They hurt like hell and can get stuck in you, so be careful. I ended up finishing my cuts with my piece inside a big plastic tub to catch the shavings. Made cleanup a breeze but somehow I still managed to get some pieces scattered around.I can’t see this chewing through 16 gauge metal for too long. You’ll probably wear down the tiny lip on the cutting bit real quick or possibly breaking something inside the gearbox. I haven’t opened it up but I can’t imagine it being constructed of anything other than pot metals like the rest of this thing. After cutting 3 roughly 12â€x12†squares on some 20 gauge metal, the gearbox itself was noticeably warm to the touch... maybe should pop that apart and pack it with some grease. Anyway, did the job for me and I’ll probably reach for this thing another 2... maybe 3 times this year. I’ll bet it will last long enough for my use. If you plan on doing extensive metal work... maybe just get the nice electric shears which cut many times faster than this and will likely hold up to continuous use a lot longer.

Works well but this tool was a bit crooked and I was surprised. When running on my drill, the head wabbles a bit but not to interfere with the work.Still very happy to have in my toolbox.ray
