This style of nutcracker looks nice but I found it more difficult to use than the old type. I find the old style with a rough surface much easier to handle. Also the old style (which is still sold on Amazon) included a little wire thing at the bottom that you could connect the two sides to make it easier to store.

Loved having this for the holidays . Didn’t use the little forks . They are rather thin so I don’t see them lasting long . It was just an addition for me.

This nutcracker is ok. Not very heavy duty but it would crack the nuts. We were trying to get walnuts cracked on the seam for a craft but this smashed the shells. So if you are just looking to get the meat out of the nut, this will do the job.

This nutcracker fell apart after minimal use. The black plastic grip on the handle has gone, and the spring popped out after a couple of uses. Would not recommend
