Sadly if your dog is a puller this will happen. Only reason I dropped a star. Other then that fit perfect they felt safe to go in deeper water. Love hearing people jokingly scream aaaahhhh shark.

When I first put this on my dog, he was really unsure of what was happening. It kind of reminded me or when a cat has a sweater on, and they have no clue how to move. That was my dog.He wasn't super happy that he had clothes on, but he warmed up to it after he got in the pool. He had been in the pool one time before without the life vest, and he was scared of the water. He was breathing heavily while swimming and wouldn't just relax.I put this vest on him for a new swimming chapter, and he did really well. He won't jump into the pool, but he will climb down the stairs and swim around. He actually played with his frisbee this time in the pool! He was swimming around for a long time and would float at other times. He wasn't as tired when he was done, and he was swimming for a longer amount of time.His confidence definitely grew when he was wearing this. I actually had to fight to get him out of the pool because it was starting to thunder and lightning. He simply did not want to get out.I love this product and how it has helped my sweet dog gain confidence! 10/10 recommend!Also for referencr, my dog is a German Shepherd and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighing about 65 pounds. It held him perfectly and actually the fur on his back was barely wet after seeing for a long time. Stylish, funny, confidence building, durable, and water resident! Love love love!

I have a 17lb pomeranian mix and bought a small and it fits him perfectly with room to adjust to a larger size if needed. His hair weighs him down so this helps him be able to swim while keeping his whole face out of the water. Not to mention how adorable he looks wearing it!

The jacket is absolutely adorable. Price was good. And the fit was perfect. My pitty is 85lbs and this fit great. Even had room. Loved the handle on the back. Was so excited to get this. So I gave it a 2 star because we only used it 3-4 times (maybe 5-10 mins ea time) and hung it up to dry. Once dry stored it inside the house. This year we got it out used it 2 times and the straps that click shut ripped right off and so did all the handles. Completely dry rotten. Not a happy camper at all. What would have happened had he been on a lake and this happened. Or since it can be used as A harness while on water even has a loop for a leash; what if we would have been at lake and while at the lake it had busted open on a walk. Thank god we pay attention and stay with him. I’m so upset and not satisfied rt now. Not even used a handful of times and it’s garbage.

It was bigger than he needed because I went off weight and didn’t measure him. It still fit just had to tighten everything up as far as if would tighten up. I thought it was a great price, excellent quality in materials used and how it was made. Sam can swim but at 8 years old and a family reunion with a bunch of children of all ages I didn’t want to have to watch him that closely if he got tiered or played to rough with the children so I got this specifically for this trip. It was easy to use putting on him and taking off of him. Plus the kids got a kick out of swimming with a shark. Great conversation piece. Mostly I knew I didn’t have to worry that my four legged fur babies was safe. I would highly recommend this product to all my family, friends and boarding clients. I love this ðŸ¶â¤ï¸

My girl is 8.8 lbs. The XS fits her with plenty of extra Velcro and buckle room. I would say a dog that weighs 1 or more lbs less than her, it may be too big.Ordered an XL for our 58 lb GSP/Visla but the XL is too big for him so I re-ordered him a Large and it fits perfectly.These shark life jackets work well to keep both our tiny dog and our medium sized dogs afloat and neither seem to be agitated by any part of the jacket.

We bought the XL life jacket. It was a little big, but the Velcro ties assisted in making it a snug fit.Our dog was comfortable wearing it on land and in the water. It gave us confidence that he was safe in the water.

I got an L for my labrador which was slightly small for her to close up but then XL would be too big, I also recieved the item with a big delay but nevertheless its a cute jacket and good material.
