These are awesome. When it is really windy you can easily stop the kite from going further up by attaching the knob to the reel. It also makes it easier to reel the kite back in fast without a mess of string. Good handgrip in the middle too!

First one had damage on the reels. The second one was good, had some damage, looks like part of the manufacturing process, should have better quality control.

These are the first of these that I have purchased so I'm no pro and I don't have alot of perspective here but...they are pretty cool. Not perfect but definitely a step up from the string handle. The eye the string goes through could be easier to keep untangled and the handle on the side is flimsy af..it doesn't lock well and can run away if ur not on ur toes. I imagine ya get what u pay for and these didn't cost much. They are a good starter reel but I'll he buying higher quality in tne future. Allbthat said, these are a good bang for the buck but wouldn't recommend for kids under 10 or 12 as they will have issues using it without runaways and tangles.

This product worked as described. Will buy one with every kite I order!!! Great for children and adults.It is my new idea to a kids gift 🎁 a kite and this string holder!! Love it. Can't praise this enough.

Would give this zero stars. Flying my kids kite at the beach, expected this to be an upgrade, reel handle/knob broke on first use. Look elsewhere.

First it arrived too late and we did not get to use it. Opened the box to make sure items were not broken in transit before returning. Looked them over and they are very impressive and look fun but the design to lock the string is a bit awkward to use…definitely not easy for young kids. It is a sturdy metal spring lock but it needs some kind of handle to make it easier to use.
