I replaced an older power supply with the APEVIA VENUS450W 450W ATX Power Supply and it works great. I like to have a little extra reserve power for any future computer parts add-ons and usb powered devices. The power supply is quiet and comes with mounting screws and power cable. I will order this power supply again when needed.

As an old schooler A+ type, I installed this PSU on Mom's vintage 2003 Compaq/HP Presario that I maintain in pristine condition. This unit replaced the 2002 Antec 450w ATX 1.0 PSU that had a dead(blown/shorted) capacitor for some reason. I'd had my service frame PSU(original BFG tech-650w) installed for some time-glad to have it back on the bench.I ran a full suite of 24hours long CPU stress testing, and THEN ran linux boot discs and memtest (v5.01) after 24 hours-the PSU STAYED within 0.001 volts ALL night/day. And the 5vdc rails NEVER varied ANY!It's still running, meaning it should run from here on out. You could barely any feel any heat from the fans. For this install, I recommend it all day. For a memory intensive workstation/gaming systems, I would still go with EVGA/Seasonic...

Works well and just the size needed. For low end cheap power supply has a quiet fan and powers what is needed.

I got this power supply to replace the one in my Optiplex 7010 desktop system. It's more powerful than the original which is good, but as the system has an optical drive, there is no wiring provided for it. My desktop has an SSD and two internal hard disks, so every output is used, and no provision for the optical CD drive. I realize this is an old system and the newer ones omit the optical drive, but it was a disappointment, thus the one star deduction. Fortunately I have an external USB powered drive I can use on the rare occasion I need it.

I should’ve believed the reviews because this thing is trash, well I guess it is. It never worked outta the box

It's fine for the price. Doesn't seem to be badly made. You should be aware there is no PCIE Cable - this means that if your GPU needs any power besides the PCIE slot itself, you are out of luck. You'd either need to buy a possibly dangerous adapter cable to run off of the MOLEX cable at your own risk - in which case you may as well buy a better PSU, or buy a low power GPU that doesn't need a separate power cable. It's OK for what I needed. The cables are all black, which is nice, but some are almost like loose spaghetti strands. It did work right out of the box, so it's acceptable for my needs.

Bought this to replace an old power supply in an even older PC. There was a bad bearing in the old PSU fan which caused a loud grinding noise occasionally. It did not need 450W but this was one of the best deals at the time of purchase. The power supply feels like Apevia was very cost-efficient in its construction, including the materials used. The cords for CPU and motherboard power are short so cable management is limited. That said, it works and didn’t cost a lot. That is all I was looking for. If it stops working, I’ll update this review.

Cheap PSU really meant to be used for builds that will use an iGPU (integrated graphcis) or have a gpu that will not use any external power from the PSU via PCIE cables. Wasn't honestly clear in the description, wish they had shown pictures or had some

It’s the cheapest psu out there and just look at the reviews. I ordered one and just the quality of the un sleeved cables made me not even want to power it on. I instantly decided to send it back and order a nice $100 EVGA psu. For a cheap psu it’s not worth risking your hardware.
