The drive shaft was not very smooth from the beginning but it was a lot quieter than the one it replaced. After a couple months driving the drive shaft started shaking when accelerating. Recently I pulled the drive shaft and found that the U joint yokes on the ends were about 15 degrees off from each other. This affected the shaft geometry making the drive shaft wobble to the point it was thumping the floor. I'm going to go with a Subaru original shaft as replacing the drive shaft is not all that easy.

Perfect fit, simple install. Check YouTube for tips. Make sure to use thread lock on bolts at the rear. 2006 Subaru Outback
