I used these oil switches to resolve engine code P0026 and P0028 in my 2008 Subaru Outback. I did need a 24mm Deep Socket to install it, and found out the hard way I had 22m non-oem oil switches in it that faulted. It was plug and play for the most part, and the installation took less than 5 minutes for each.Be aware that P0026 and P0028 can also be caused by the Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (VVT Solenoid), or bad oil. Good part though!

I was pleased to find this oil pressure switch sensor for a good price on here. Replaced bad pressure switch in my wife's 2009 subaru legacy. Piece of cake to replace and part looks identical to OEM. Only been running the car for 4 days since the replacement, but it appears to have done the trick and she is back on the road.

Sturdy and good quality for the price. Looks as good as the original one. Nevertheless, buyers MUST know that these are a bit tricky to install as a large 7/8+ socket and ratchet combo can makes you think you can torque it heavily...... Just be gentle.... like 1-2 pounds-ft or you will destroy it!!!!! Nothing to do with the unit itself!!!

This product states that it fits a 2008 subaru impreza, but the connector is not the same.
