I bought one of these to see how well it works in my mini aquariums and after a week I was pleased. I did make some modifications on the materials but thet didn't stop me from buying 2 more. Yea, it's white but idoes the job.

One of the two filters I have in a 30 gallon turtle tank. Besides the water that comes out, it doesn't make much noise. I positioned the water as close to the tank's glass, to reduce the sound of water.

I use this in my tank with my messt oscars and it gets the job done. Gets messy fast, but love that I can rinse it out

Loses flow quickly with both sponges. I have to use it with one sponge and in the second cup I have bio cubes. The air bubbles are very fine.

Needed this as a backup filter and was pretty easy to setup. The noise is minimal and the sound of the water is really peaceful, it even puts me to sleep. The water looks clear so I’d say the filter does a good job of cycling. This is worth every penny!

This one is real bad! For starters the suction cups that hold it to tank pop off the pump side every time you touch it, the air inlet is virtually non existent, after a few weeks had something go wrong where the water started backing out of air inlet tube, luckily I caught it after only draining about a gallon, but the damage was done to my home, fortunately no fish were affected! It has 2 ways of putting out water, straight out and up, the straight out one is what i was using, it got blocked somehow and with cap on top one water had nowhere else to go but back up air inlet!

I think this product could be good but the blue sponge filter material does not remove suspended solids. They mention alternate filter materials in the add but I cannot find them anywhere.Update: Have to give this filter time. See new picture.
