Mold works well for making great dive weights. Takes some trial and error to get the hang of making them, but in the end, works well. Most difficult is making sure the mold is level during the pour. As a word of caution, as with many molds without handle coverings, this one gets extremely hot and stays hot for some time. Heat resistant gloves are a must when handling. I've made various size weights and all have released nicely from the mold with a few taps.

Having worked with many molds I can say this one is only adequate. Mine arrived with deformations in the casting which I had to grind down with a dremel or the weights would never have released. I do like the graduation marks as a reference but they are not really scaled to a specific weight. Even after properly smoking the mold I had to bang it pretty hard to get the weights to release due to the very rough casting. Bottom line, it does work but its not easy to use(the release issue) like higher quality molds. I'd still recommend it.

The mold is excellent, the quality is great to make 4.5lbs weight molds. Good price too. I totally would recommend this.
