This is used to filter the incoming water for our RV, which is our primary residence. So far we are very pleased with the product, with no issues. Be sure to give the filter time after install to clear any loose filter materials (normal for this type of filter). Note: does not include a short flexible hose included with some filters).

My plants enjoy the filters. The removal of the extra chlorine made the difference, as the unfiltered water would yellow my vegetables or slow their growth. It is still not as good as rain wather but gets the job done in drought conditions.The little hose spring to hang the filter off the faucet did not make it 2 days. I left the water on and found the crimping came apart and the yard nearly flooded.

I use these to do water exchange for aquarium and pond use where chlorine in tap water is harmful to the fish.I opened and used one for several weeks with good results. I opened the second one and used it just a few times, then the next time I tried to use it, no water at all would flow through even with the hose spigot wide open. The hose flows fine with that filter removed, and it flows fine with the other/older filter installed. So I barely got any use from the second newer filter.My testing, using a hanna digital reagent chlorine test meter, showed that these reduce chlorine in tap water by approx 75% but not 100%. My tap water tests 2.42ppm chlorine and water out of this RV filter tests 0.55ppm.

Much cheaper than rv store. Does the job I guess! Had initial discharge of carbon....which the instructions mentioned. Flush the filter onto the ground on first useรฐลธโยรฐลธหโฐ . Not sure how these are tested or rated.....have to trust the manufacturer.

There should be more information about compatibility. These things should NOT be available to Australia because the threads are not compatible with Australian plumbing. VERY ANNOYED...
