Meet SUSTEE
SUSTEE is a modern, Japanese soil moisture sensor. The blue color indicates that there is enough water in the soil, and the while color indicate that plant is in need of watering. SUSTEE features a minimal aesthetic that doesn't take away from the beauty of your plants.
SUSTEE
Color
Has your SUSTEE turned white? That means it is time to water! After watering, the white insert will change to a blue color. This indicates that there is enough water in the soil.
Soil
SUSTEE can be used with almost all plants that grow in soils with a certain level of moisture retention. This includes akadama soil, black earth, bark, coco peat, peat moss and vermiculite.
Insertion Depth
When inserting SUSTEE, please ensure that the Ω mark found on the stick is entirely covered. Please also make sure that the transpiration opening is visible if the stick is needing to go deeper.
Time
The time it takes to change color will depend on the amount of water given and the water retention level. When using SUSTEE for the first time, please water generously. The small stick takes approximately 3 minutes, the medium 15 minutes, and the large 25 minutes.

When I first used these, I didn't saturate the soil which in turn made the plant stick not work. When I figured out the soil needs to be fully saturated and I saw the color blue I decided I need these in every size. It is so much easier than using my water meter.

3/5 stars for the 3/5 sensors that worked, they too expensive to have such quality control issues. I ordered the two sizes and both had faulty sensors.

So once you put them into the soil its supposed to change blue when the soil is satisfied with water. I drowned multiple plants and it never changed color

I was a certified black thumb house plant owner until I purchased these monitors. They couldn’t be any easier. You stick it in the soil and if the window shows clear, you need to water your plant. If it’s blue, don’t water it because it has enough water. I have brought back a plant from near death with proper watering. These little monitors are worth every penny!
