  • SUPER MINI SIZE – This aquarium heater is SUPER SHORT in length –It is only a bit more than HALF of the length comparing with the traditional fish heaters! The innovative super short length perfectly solves the headache of the fish keepers on the traditional aquarium heaters! Takes up less space, easy to hide, but in full power!
  • INVERTER TECHNOLOGY – This aquarium heater uses the advanced inverter technology to heat water faster, while during operation it keeps water at a constant temperature in a more efficient way. Plus because of the inverter technology the fish heater has a longer life-span.
  • MORE ACCURATE EXTERNAL THERMOSTAT – The in-built chips of this submersible heater keeps water at a constant temperature at an accuracy of 1F, much more accurate than the traditional knob-controlled heaters. The digital display of the external thermostat shows 2 readings – the current temperature and the set temperature – very easy to operate.
  • HIGH STANDARD MATERIALS – Stable nickel-chromium heating wire, highly heat-conductive sand, housed by a shatter-proof quartz glass tube ensures excellent quality of this heater. Silicone protectors at both ends to avoid potential impacting with the fish tank glass.
  • INTELLIGENT SENSORS FOR PROTECTIONS - With the multiple sensors this fish tank heater will stop working when the water level is lower than the minimum water level (DRY-RUN) or when the water temperature exceeds 97F(OVERHEAT). With the MEMORY FUNCTION, In case of a power cut, when the power recovers the heater will follow the last setting. You are free from “cooking fish”!

How to choose the right heater for your aquarium?

There are 3 elements to consider to determine the right heater for your aquarium size:

  • Room temperature
  • Aquarium water volume
  • Desired temperature

Most aquarium experts recommend that you determine your heater’s power in terms of watts per gallon (WPG). Typically, you will need around 2.5 to 5 watts per gallon in your tank.

So, for example, a 10-gallon aquarium would need a 25- to 50-watt heater.

Still, this is only a rough estimate—you will also need to consider the room temperature to make an accurate calculation.

If your room temperature is low, you will need a larger heater to raise the water temperature in your tank—a cold room may require more than 5 watts for each gallon of water.

Dry Run Protection

The fish heater prevents dry operation with an error code (E1) if not fully submerged. Submerge it completely to remove the error and resume function.

The fish tank heater stops and displays H1 if water exceeds 95℉/35℃, resuming when it drops below 93℉/34℃.

I wish they had a separate probe for temperature, but I don't know that it makes any difference, I've just always used that style. I am using these in both 5 gallon buckets and 5.5 gallon glass aquariums, and they are really easy to set the temperature, have a bright and easily read display, good suction cups (surprised to see these small units come with 2 cups.) as a general rule I do not use glass heaters, but because these are temporary while I set up a sump, I didn't want to spend the money on titanium, and I don't even know if titanium heaters can be purchased at this low of a wattage. The glass seems plenty thick and the large rubber bumpers on the top and bottom stick out enough that they should be pretty durable. I think for the money these are great heaters, and even after I am done with them I'll be happy to have them around as backup. I've been running them for a few weeks so I can't speak to longevity, but they are doing their job, and as long as you do your part placing them properly in an area with good flow, they are very stable. Unlike another small cheap heater I have that came with a tank, these stay in place, so I feel safer about them not falling against some hardscape or getting buried in substrate.

using it on a 3 gallon tank and it regulates the water temp as it should, digital display of current temp and set temp is a nice feature

The water is 2 degrees hotter than what you set it for. No biggie. I turned it off in the summer. My fish can tolerate up to 68. I only use it in the winter and it works well. Highly recommended.

I have the 100W version in a 10 gallon tank and it works great, even in the winter when I let the room temperature drop to below 50 F. The heating unit is small and easy to place in the tank. It also came with two strong suction cups for mounting it against the glass. The control unit is very easy to use, shows the current water temperature and set temperature, and can also be switched between Centigrade and F. It is definitely better than the older style heaters. Highly recommended!

I use one of these in each of my 3 gal and 15 gal. While I love that I can turn up the temp easily with the external button, the temp gauge is not accurate. It will tell me the heater itself is to temperature, or even above the correct temp, and then stop heating the water. Meanwhile the water will stay 5+ degrees cooler and I’ll have to monitor it with an outside thermometer.I love the size and ease of temp change but hate how inaccurate it is.

While the thermostat still showed temps of 78, the heater was not working and left my fish in 70 waters. I haven't had it in my tank even a week. It's a good thing I have a back up thermometer in the waters to alert me that it wasn't working.

Recibí hoy el producto y después de usarlo por aproximadamente 40 minutos el plástico del termostato se fundió. El foco indicador que tiene deshizo el plástico.
