This works well. I have the probe hanging near the intake for my hang on back filter, so you don't notice it much. Comparing the temperature to my other thermometers that I trust, I am getting readings within 0.1 degrees on each of them, so I am confident this is giving me accurate temperatures. The suction cups that come with it work well. One was a little deformed from the packaging, but it still functions great.

Everything works well! I really liked that this package came with 2 working batteries so I didn't have to go on a scavenger hunt to find these certain batteries. My fish loves to squeeze into every small space possible and so she's managed to separate the heater from the wall, but she's yet to accomplish that with these suction cups! The thermometer works super well, I only wish there was an LED option where it's easier to read. When the lights are on, it's legible, but at night when everyone is most wary of leaving their heaters on, I can't read it so I'm always using the flashlight on my phone to read the numbers. Only a slight inconvenience, but not large enough to hate on it.I've only had it for 4 days now, but it works super well and I love that it's small!Update: it's been over a month since I've bought it and I've yet to have any issue with it overheating. Occasionally, I may notice that it's a little warm (if it gets to be near 83 degrees, that's when I open a window or something, I don't use the AC or heater in my apartment). I have yet to unplug it other than when I clean the tank!

Unit is good for what it is and appears to be accurate enough for my needs. I like that it comes with the batteries and suction cups for both the unit and the probe that attaches inside the aquarium.I normally just turn it on as needed when I want to view the aquarium's temperature and then shut if off to conserve batteries.Temp accuracy-wise, I'd say it is not spot on, but close enough when I compare it with other thermometers when checking the water temps.Time will tell how sturdy the button is with all this turning on and off, but in my case, I would only check the aquarium's temp once or every other day or so, as I also have a standard glass thermometer inside the aquarium. Overall a good buy and worth it.

I have two of these, one for each of my tanks, and the older one stopped being accurate after about 6 months. It's not just a little off either. The older one thinks my tank is only 59.5°F but when I checked using the newer one, it's actually 77°F. I tried turning it off and on again and replaced the batteries, but it still isn't accurate. Based on the price, that's kinda okay because I could just buy a new one every 6 months, but I don't know if it's work the heart attack thinking my heater stopped working.UPDATE: Definitely not worth it. This time, the thermometer slowly stopped being accurate. I didn't realize and thought I just needed to up my heater a bit. I almost KILLED my fish!
