The Pond Waterfall Filter provides efficient mechanical filtration, biological filtration, and crucial aeration while creating a waterfall. Great waterfall box with everything included for installation.i do recommend PVC glue to ensure there are no leaks in the house.I wish the multi hose adapter came with multiple hose tips instead of one single one.We had to cut it to size to allow additional water to go in.Add in more filter media for a actual filter.

Although I had to adapt the connection for my pump, the product works quite well. The size allows lots of filter material and the flow through the lip is just right. I give it a 5.

It works great! I did add quilt batting on the bottom layer. I also purchased 5 lbs of ceramic filter medium in individual bags which I placed in the drawstring bag and it was the last thing in the filter. Before using the filter my pond water would turn to pea soup within a few days of emptying and putting fresh water. Since I installed it 2wks ago I cleaned it 2x (hosed off batting and ceramic medium) I ran the filter for 24hrs/5days at first ,now about 5 hrs a day. Now the water is clear and I can finally enjoy watching the fish. Since the filter is placed outside the pond it’s easy to clean.

The unit is sturdy and it is therefore easy to get it to sit level - necessary to achieve an even spill. Very easy to put together and working well.

It is the best possible filtration for my pond which has 1100 liter water volume, so my pond is now more clean and better oxigenated. It can work easily with a pump which has 4500 l/h water flow (which is almost minimum for that filter flow). I recomend that product for pond owners who want to have really good filter for their pond.

This waterfall spillway is more affordable than the other types of waterfall filters made by Aquascape. This waterfall spillway filter works very well and is easy to assemble, use and clean. This unit is more affordable then the other models by a long shot. Still pricey, but not as crazy priced as their other models.The only draw back that I found was the included fitting for the water inlet I’d sized smaller than the common sizes of piping. I used 1 inch flex tubing by Aquascape and it did not fit snuggle onto the barbed fitting. To fix this issue I used rubberized electrical tape wrapped around the barbed fitting. This increased the outer diameter of the barb fitting enough to make a nice sold connection between the barb fitting and the tubing. No leaks at all.
