I am a huge advocate of what I call betta rescuing (aka purchasing them to keep the little guys from spending their life in a cup on a shelf). While rescuing my most recent betta, I stumbled upon these beads boasting an enzyme that assists in breaking down waste and uneaten food, providing minerals the fish needs to brighten scale coloring and extending their life. Well, I'm sold after that. Though skeptical, I have noticed I haven't had to clean my betta's bowl as often, I'm seen him being more active, and he has so much fun swimming around in the colored bubbles/beads. Be aware, over time these beads shrink I assume because they lose the enzyme that puffs them up?? I'm not a scientist, but all this to say to remove the used beads before adding more because they are low. Adding more beads the the shriveled ones still in the bowl will case the old ones to puff back up to their original size from the new enzymes being added to the bowl. Water displacement occurs and will overflow the bowl and/or remove free space for your betta to swim around. Hope that makes sense. My betta and I like these beads and will continue to use them. They are my medium of choice now.

These are a great addition to the tank. It's mesmerizing to watch them "float" in the gentle current of the tank. My betta seems to enjoy playing in them and has started to really get into bopping them around. After a while, they will start to shrink a bit and lose their vibrant color, and I remove the old and put new in.

I've used these beads for 3 months, so three different bags (blue, purple, pink) and they were all the same size of beads. I reordered 3 more bags. Black and white is fine. The blue balls seem rather small. And the purple ones are chopped into little pieces. I don't think they could even be used. I do not understand the difference in ball sizes. Can anyone explain?

I appreciate the refund but I really need to send it back. It’s a great product but my fish died and I don’t need it any more. This products helps the fish and makes the tank look great and fresh

These are a great product! I love using them for my beta fish tank. They keep the water clean for longer & shrink when it is time to change them! My only concern is that because they are so fragile, when they were shipped to me last, most of the balls were broken. I assume through the travel of shipping or because of the heat they were damaged. Definitely something to consider before purchase!

Shrink in hard water in a day or two.

I’m not sure if they are supposed to break apart after 12hrs or not? I’ve run multiple water tests and there is no hardness or chlorine so I’m not sure what’s going on.

Bought this for my little Beta fish tank. They work well and would recommend/buy again.

The product was worse for wear as it was just in an Amazon bag.some of the balls were crushed and I haven't seen them go like the picture shows right from the bag before. Probably better to buy these instore. But, Jaws is happy so that's good!

It does not state until you get the pack not to use with filters so no good for my aquarium. Company however stated I could keep but it's gone in the bin as no good for my aquarium.

They shrunk in less than 24 hours to pellet size, my betta ate them. He couldn't pass them I had to watch him suffer for days before he died a slow and undoubtedly painful death! DO NOT USE THESE PLEASE!!!
