This helmet by ArcCaptain is more comfortable than other helmets I’ve worn. The internal headband structure is highly adjustable and with a bit of fussing you should be able to get a very customized fit. My other helmet feels like it’s just sitting precariously perched on the top of my head and doesn’t feel as secure as I’d like - this one really clamps down (comfortably). I can wear it for hours at a time. I like that it has padding for the forehead area - that makes a huge difference. It also stays very securely lifted when flipped up - I have another that likes to fall. There are battery boxes on both sides near the temples to power the dimming and speed of response that do make dealing with my glasses a bit challenging at times though - they tend to hit my frames every now and then, so if you wear glasses with larger frames this could be an issue for you. The position of these boxes and the tendency to dislodge my glasses is the only reason I'm deducting a star. The controls are very easy to operate when wearing once you’re familiar with them. Response time and dimming work extremely well. It comes with extra internal and external face shields that are easily replaced. The external shield attaches with easy to remove plastic “screws†- my other helmet has non removable nubs that require the helmet to be pretty significantly manipulated so the screws make this infinitely easier and much less frustrating. The viewing area is quite large - I don’t feel like I’m looking through a tunnel. Also comes with a drawstring bag for storage.

This is an upgrade from my current welding helmet. It has a few more settings than the one I have. The method of adjusting the helmet fit on the head is better than my old helmet with a nice twist on back. Simple twist on the knobs on the side adjust how easily the helmet flip up and down.Overall design is really nice and the helmet comes with a storage bag that is designed like the sling two string backpack. Having the pack is a nice way to protect the helmet when not in use.One down side is the box this comes packed in is slight smaller than the help which means the helmet is squeezed in a bit, but easily flexes back out to shape. I would not store the helmet in the box.I paid less for the helmet this is replacing, and it'd evident in the quality and features this helmet has.
