All of these arrow catchers are kinda small (2.5 x 5 feet) but this one is heavy and does its job very well. No drama, no nonsense, just knocks arrows straight down. No puncures, no damaged arrows. Only tested with wife's and little nephew's 20 and 26 # compound bows from 10 and 15 yards in our backyard, so not sure how it does against regular hunting bows. I did hit it a few times with suppressed 22 LR subsonic rounds from a pistol from 15 yards just for schmits and giggles and was able to draw a nice smiley face complete with neat holes and burn marks on the white blanket :)

Nice thick, heavy material. I've only tried it out a few times, but I think it will last quite a while. I'm only shooting a 25# bow from 18 meters, so there is not a tremendous amount of force behind the arrows, but they bounce right off, making a small dent in the material. I installed 2 4x4 pressure-treated posts 11' apart and strung a wire between them. I hang the backstop from the wire, letting it hang somewhat loose. This setup works great! No missing parts in my order, and the grommets are installed tightly. Very happy with my purchase.

This backstop will not stop arrows from my compound bow set at 45 lbs at a distance of 35 yards, it will stop arrows from a 35lb recurve bow at 35 yards. Both bows using target/field points. I don't shoot any closer than 35 yards so not sure what it will do at closer distances. Overall pretty good for my application.

I'm using a 30lb recurve and 35lb longbow both at backyard distance - about 15 yards. This 5' x 5' backstop is tough and heavy, and the misses (more than I want to admit) hit with a "THWACK" and drop gently straight down. In examining the backstop there is absolutely no damage, not even a mark where the arrows struck. Good hardware supplied, could use 5 v. 3 grommets on each edge, but I just used "tarp-grippers" and they hole it fine.Dump your old moldy straw bales and but one of these.

I just received this today. I strung it up between two trees from the top rings (I left the bottom untied so the material could flex) and tried shooting it from as close as five yards and out to 30 yards with both a 35 lb recurve and a 60 lb compound (field points on the recurve arrows and target points on the compound). It stops the arrows well. Sometimes the field points stick slightly and the arrow hangs down, but it's stopped all shots so far.The sound from the compound hitting it full force from ten yards is satisfying - sounds like a shotgun report

For the square footage and the coverage, this was a good buy. It covers about 25% more area than similarly priced backdrops. I do not know what this material is. I've seen some of those backdrops described as being Kevlar. Anyway it is a woven material that comes out very stiff yet flexible enough roll up and roll out. The rivets are set very well in this backdrop. This comes with a long nylon cord with metal clasps. I'm using green painted ranching/farming fencing stakes that have tabs perforated in it and sticking out (to accept heavy weight chicken wire or other livestock metal mesh. I simply push the rivet rings into the tabs of the stakes. Because this is so long and so stiff, i circle the other end of the backdrop around the other fencing stake and that whole thing stands up. I could suspend it but, the self standing works fine for me. I'm using a low weight bow and haven't missed my target yet. My other bow, is still very modest in draw weight for target shooting. I don't think that given the distance I'm shooting with these relatively light bows, that I can pierce this backdrop.

I shoot traditional archery and use a 45 lb recurve bow. The curtain does a perfect job in stopping arrow that miss the target. I would not use this if shoot arrows from a higher pound compound bow. It works great for my needs at 1/3 of the price for other “name†brands
