I ordered this for someone else and it wasn't what they thought it would be so returned it. That is why the 4 stars. I didn't see it. Said it was larger than she thought and deeper. But that is all on the description.

Mounting holes are not predrilled like the older ones (15-20 years ago). And, they are spaced differently. They share the same hole width spacing but not heighth. Also, new box has locations to drill holes to mount on a post.

See attached photos for the mediocre product quality.The "mailsafe" feature only works for small letter envelopes when they lay flat at the bottom of the mail box. For big envelopes that stands vertically inside the mailbox, theft can easily retrieve them with hand going through the insert slot at the top.

Arrived broken. Retaining pin for mail slot cover was loose, slid off plastic base. Metal mail door fell off. Kinda basic for proper functioning. It did not inspire confidence in the durability of the product over years of use that I expected.
