About this item

  • CONTACT FRAME FOR INTEL LGA1851 AND LGA1700: Improved contact pressure distribution through Intel mounting frame for efficient heat transfer thanks to even CPU contact surface
  • HIGH-PERFORMANCE FOR HIGH-END CPUs: With its 4 offset heat pipes, the single-tower cooler enables fast heat transfer to the heat sink. There, the heat is efficiently dissipated by pressure-optimised 120 mm fans.
  • INNOVATIVE FAN MOUNTING: Innovative click installation system makes it easier to install the cooler or replace the fans. The Freezer 36 is compatible with most 120 mm fans
  • SIDE-FLOW HEAT SINK: By opening the fins on the side, the pull fan draws additional cool air out of the case through the heat sink, optimises ventilation and increases cooling efficiency
  • 6 YEARS WARRANTY: We are convinced of the quality and durability of our products, and we are happy to pass this on to our customers

I'm using this arctic 36 freezer on a 12400 processor and just wow! I realize the tdp is only 65w but on idle I'm averaging 26 degrees. This is something because I haven't had that low of temps since I was into water cooling. The fans are quiet and push alot of air. The picture in the description doesn't do it justice, it looks way cooler installed! The fit was as described, I had plenty of clearance in my cooler master elite 301 lite case. This is outperforming the noctua cooler (which I love) and I fully recommend the freezer 36. I have had great experiences with arctic coolers.

Did an amazing job cooling my ryzen 5600! Went from 75-90C with stock cooler down to a very solid 55-60C in load. Very easy to install och looks great in a PC without any unnecessary RGB lights. Would heavily recommend to anyone that needs a good CPU cooler on a budget to get rid of those awful stock coolers. 5/5

Just when you need the right item at the right time along comes the boys from Artic to provide what you need. This particular cooler just amazes me not only for the outstanding value but for the utilitarian features it offers. I compared a lot of coolers until I got to the 36 and this one just blows the others out of the water. It’s already great for overclocking, but installation is simple and qyuick. No flimsy wires or rubber push pins to deal with and ending up with a questionable install. I have been a fan of Artic Cooling for a long time and there is a reason for that. Craftsmanship and integrity in addition to value for the money spent. Ten stars is not enough praise.

This is one of the best air coolers I’ve ever used in a build. I bought this in a process of replacing an old machine that went kaput on me, and that cooler used was an air cooler as well. No issues with that machine for what it’s worth, although the cooler in that machine was a Hyper 212 EVO back in 2016 which kept an i7-4790 around 40c. That machine now has an i5-4690 since the CPU died and had to be replaced, same temps around 40c. Not too bad.Compared to what this cooler is doing currently for a 12600KF in my current build, it is running as low as 19c and up to 26c, granted I’ve turned off some cores and turned off hyperthreading BUT, the huge difference for what I tend to use this machine for with this cooler, this is very excellent in what I’d want to use for what is essentially a file server/archival PC and as the replacement of the other aforementioned build above. Hands down, one of, if not, the best price/performance ratios for a budget air cooler I’ve seen in a while. After watching some reviews and comparisons on YouTube from GN, this can also fit the bill if your wattage usage for a CPU is pushing 200W. At that range it should be fine for keeping things cool but definitely not anything bad per se.The only thing I can say that may be a warning is if you’re installing on an Intel board you will need to be careful when installing its somewhat custom motherboard CPU bracket mounting system, which should be called the ILM, since there may be, not sure how much, a risk of shifting a portion of the CPU socket on the motherboard. You may want to have something underneath the motherboard to keep it from slipping. Useful information can be found on YouTube channels installing this. I did reference GN for this install, and it was not too bad for me. The reason why this step is needed is to make a better contact of the CPU heatsink contact with the CPU since most motherboards will not fully make contact with the CPU heatsink and CPU based on its ILM.If you have a new build, if you can afford one of these for its introductory price, I’d say it’s a great one to consider. After some time the price may increase but its still not to say its not worth it but depending on what’s available you can check and do comparisons on what else is offered in the market of air coolers. After the 3 months of this being released the price may change but we can only tell once/if this happens.Overall, I really like this CPU cooler for what it has done so far in keeping my CPU cool.

The Artic Freezer 36 Black is easy to install, looks great and is whisper quiet even at an aggressive fan profile. I only wish that the cold plate covered the entire Ryzen CPU. Maybe it covers Intel CPU's better. Recommending it is a "hmmm maybe" if you have Ryzen and know how to undervolt your CPU and set an aggressive fan profile. If you have Intel, you would have to ask someone else what they think.

Bought this for a Ryzen 5 5600x and temperatures don't exceed 60-61 C at max. I had to google it but it has a TDP of 219 watts meaning it should cool any Ryzen processor with ease. It came with MX-6 thermal paste which I was skeptical about but was really surprised at the quality, highly recommend using it. The fans are actually silent. The only noise that comes from them is the sound of air moving. For reference I tested it playing Helldivers 2. A very demanding game that made my old cpu fan sound like a jet turbine. It was paired with a 4070 super letting me run the game at 1440p native with max settings. Tested over 3 missions at difficulty 10 which is the most demanding. Temps held at about 61 C. All it sounded like was air blowing, it's hard to describe but I was shocked at how quiet it was. 10/10 will buy again if this thing dies.

This cooler is my go to for coolers under 25€. It is of high quality and can cool all low and mid range CPU's with absolutely no problem. As always, Arctic brings one of the most silent coolers on the market and the fans are easy to attach with just a click instead of screwing or using annoying fan mounts.

Changed out to P12 Max fans, performs as good as a Noctua NH-D15S and in much smaller package

I had the standard Ryzen cooler, bought this and it's 4 times bigger. The CPU temp has gone down from 92c to 58c on the Ryzen AM5 and from 95c to 64c on the AM4. Yes I bought 2, installed it on the AM4 first and it was easy to install with a great difference in temperature, my sons games are running glitch free when before, the 12 cores Ryzen 9 5900X was 92c and obviously causing problems. So I bought one for my AM5 Ryzen 9 7900X and the difference is amazing.Highly recommend this cooler for AMD CPUS, much better than the standard cooler and makes a massive difference to performance for gaming and AI models.
