This product surprised me with how flexible it actually is... it made getting into very hard to access screws under the dash easier to remove and re-install. Works great! I did not have to apply very high torque to the fasteners though. Overall a great buy for what I needed, and will definitely help in future projects. Seems rugged enough not to need to buy again.

I recently tackled a repair on my riding mower, but ran into a snag. One of the bolts was in the most awkward spot imaginable - tucked deep in the engine bay with barely any room to maneuver. There was no way I could get a standard socket wrench on it.Faced with the prospect of further disassembly, which would have taken hours, I decided to take a gamble on a solution I'd seen on YouTube - the ARES 42072 Flexible Socket Extension Set.Let me tell you, these extensions were a lifesaver! The flexible shafts bent and contorted to reach the seemingly unreachable bolt. Despite my initial concern that they wouldn't be strong enough, they provided the perfect combination of flexibility and strength to loosen the bolt and complete the repair. The extensions themselves seem very well-made. The heat-treated alloy steel feels sturdy, and the chrome and black oxide finishes give them a professional look. Plus, for the price, they can't be beat!If you find yourself working in tight spaces or on projects with awkwardly placed fasteners, then the ARES 42072 Flexible Socket Extension Set is a game-changer. They saved me a ton of time and frustration on my mower repair, and I'm sure they'll come in handy for future projects as well. Highly recommend!

These are good, have used three different ones on the last project. I do wish the 1/4 inch ones came with a 3 or 4 inch instead of the 10 inch one.

I bought these to change a valve head cover gasket to reach into some hard spots. While they made gradual bends to where I needed to get to (no crazy 90 degree bends), they could not loosen a single bolt and instead seem to twist and strain.I would imagine these are good for less mechanical applications, like if you are fixing some little crafts or household things but not a car.
