I have tried almost every music stand light out there. LED lighting was a good and neccessary step in the volution of music stand lighting. The lights I have already tried are truly a mixed bag. I've had single lights where the beam shines on the entire music, and duo lights (antennae lighting) where you can direct one light to one part of the music, and another light to somewhere else. However, with many of these cheap lights, you get what you pay for. I constantly had to adjust the light's clamp on my Manhasset stand. Whenever I add music to the stand, the light clamp shudders, and I have to readjust it. In a performance situation, there are enough things going on that you don't need the music light demanding your attention.I used rechargeable batteries, but that means having a pocketful of batteries, and 1. removing the light from the stand, popping off the light's cover, removing the old batteries, keeping them in a separate place from the multiple fresh batteries you're probably carrying, putting the light back on the stand, struggling to make the clamp fit right----aaargh.Enter Aria! OMG. Right out of the box the light makes sense. Two solid clips, and it's on your stand - and it stays there until you remove it. It doesn't move when the stand moves. *You can actually adjust the light with the dial* - Wow! Other music lights *might* have two settings, and they have hard-to-use buttons - when you press them, the beam of light gets changed, so you have to use both hands, one to turn the light on, and the other to stabilize the light! The Aria light affords you multiple settings - dial in just the amount of light you need for the moment at hand. Plus, you can recharge it easily and allows you to use the light many hours before requiring another charge. The other stands? 20-30 dollars. Aria? about 150 dollars - but it's SO WORTH IT. I read all the other reviews here before buying one, and I'm glad I did. You'll be glad too...you can get back to the most important activity - making music!

This is the best music light I have ever owned. Its brightness is adjustable, from low light to very bright, and the illumination spans the entire desk of the music stand without casting a shadow. It holds a charge for many hours and still remains cool to the touch. I am a professional musician and have used just about everything made for concert use. This light surpasses them all.

I love how bright this stand light is over an entire double page spread of music. Even the corners are well lit when in a dark pit orchestra.

I broke down and spent the big bucks on this stand light because with aging eyes and progressive lenses, I just cannot see my music well anymore if the light isn’t right. I am so happy that I purchased this!! It’s easy to use and produces a nice, even, bright light for my music. It’s tall enough to fit large, original orchestral scores, so the height takes a bit of getting used to. Some taller musicians may find the need to lower their stands if they need to see a shorter conductor who may not be on a podium. As far as longevity, I’ve only used it for one rehearsal and a performance, but so far so good.

I purchased 3 of these lights in 2022. All 3 are now flickering and going off on their own, even when plugged in. The seller would not return my messages. Amazon told me it was only a 1 year warrantee. I guess I'm out $600 for lights that no longer work. Very unhappy. DO NOT BUY!!!!!
