These blinds are beautifully and well made, as well as quick and easy to install. They also arrived very quickly, in only 5 days! I was able to install mine by myself, but if you're installing an especially wide set, I suggest an extra pair of hands to hold one end. Unless you have very long arms. :) The cordless feature of the blinds was a major selling point (and safety feature) for me because I have cats that love to get in the window. They're very easy to pull down and lift back up. Again, if you have especially wide blinds, I recommend using both hands while adjusting your blinds.I purchased a custom size, inside mount, for my kitchen window. Be aware that a custom size will increase the purchase price, but I found them to be a fair price even with the customization! They added the warmth and natural simplicity I was looking for in my very bright and airy kitchen. I'm considering another set for my laundry room!Privacy is not a concern for me so it's kept open at least halfway, even at night. I can't yet say how well they block the heat and light during the summer months, as it's only April right now, but even at half way closed they minimize the sunlight entering the room. If they provide even minimal heat blockage, as some have mentioned in other reviews, I'll be happy!Overall, if you've been considering these blinds, just go for it. You won't be disappointed!

I recently restyled a small cottage on Long Island and chose these bamboo blinds to cover a dozen windows. The fit was perfect and they were not too hard to install. The look is great and they allow filtered light to pass through during the day. For some of the rooms that needed more privacy during the evening, I simply hung inexpensive drapes on poles so that I could increase privacy as needed. I initially covered 6 of the windows until I was sure they would work for me. Later I added a separate purchase of another six. I was so pleased to find that they all matched perfectly in color. Only one blind of 12 had an attached valance which was about an inch shorter than all the others. I was able to hang that one blind where you would not notice this discrepancy. Problem solved. My hope is that the blinds that get raised or lowered daily hold up to the slight tug it takes to lower them. The price was reasonable even when compared to the big box stores and if you can install them yourself that is quite a saving. None came with any damage or inaccuracies in measurement. They were precisely what they claimed to be.

I love the color and the texture. I wish there was less sun light coming through them. They were not difficult to install. The hardware was good.

Gorgeous! Measurements are perfect and the color is just as pictured. Installation was a breeze!! These are fairly lightweight, but you’ll want to utilize the included anchors when installing. These are NOT blackout blinds!! But they do provide a good deal of privacy and sun protection.

Writing this review to give my two cents on different aspects of the process and to give positive feedback on an excellent product.First off, the shades are elegant. They go up and down easily and appear to be well-made. That’s super important in a market full of flimsy products. I personally don’t want to replace my shades anytime soon or have them looking raggedy. I was looking for a good-looking, plastic-free product (that includes polyester roller shades), which I discovered is like finding a needle in a haystack. The whitewash look good with my modern, cool-colored interior decor. The brown look good also, but make sure the color will go well with your space. While brown is a warm color, the white are more neutral and would probably look good in any setting. As far as the size, I found that a half-inch down was perfect. So if the width of your window frame measures around 31â€, 30.5†can be a great choice. For a few blinds, there was no half inch option so I went a whole inch down and they looked fine. What you don’t want is the shade to be too wide (for inside mounts) because then they won’t fit.I’ve attached photos during the day and at night. The shades are sheer, so you can see the outside during the day (but not at night). If there is a particular window you don’t want to see anything through during the day, you can buy $5 paper shades from Walmart or Amazon and put them underneath. I did this with one area close to the street that I didn’t want to see at all, and it was a great solution.I have included pics of the bracket so you can get an idea of how the shades are hung. Don’t get discouraged if you’ve never done it before — it’s easy. Once the bracket is up, you put the bolt through the wood and secure it with a wing nut with the valance (the rectangular decorative strip at the top) facing forward. For mine, I did a “flush mount†where the front of the shade is even with the front of the window frame. The middle of the bolt needed to be ~15/16ths of an inch from the front of the frame (I measured the distance from center of the opening in the wood where the bolt goes through to the front of the shade). This probably doesn’t make sense now, but you’ll figure it out when the shades come. There is also a little instructional booklet.I also included a pic of the exterior door since I wasn’t sure how I wanted to do it at first. I got a 24†width shade which fit perfectly. (The window part of the door was 21†and some change). I ended up buying half inch screws from the store instead of the one-inch that came with it and drilled straight into the door as pictured. I pre-drilled since doors are hardee to penetrate than drywall. Nothing wrong with using the one inch but it seemed like overkill on the door since the shades are only ~5 pounds. You could even secure the bracket to the door with double-sided tape, but tape with any kind of holding power tends to leave a mark when you remove it.Good luck!
