Shade width is hardware width, not slat width. So when mounted inside, there is a small gap on each side of the shutter. The window frame can cover it, but if the window frame is thin or almost empty, the gap may not be fully covered.

We recently added eight windows to a room and ordered these blinds as Roman shades. The fit is spectacular. The windows are 6 foot tall and the blinds cover everything perfectly. The gaps on the side are within 1/8 inch tolerance and could not have been better as a room, blackening shade. We are extremely pleased and would love to find the same option in a motorized Roman shade from this company it would be a no-brainer. Excellent excellent excellent.

I was a little nervous buying these because they don’t have many reviews but the price was difficult to beat. I have a large windows (70†long) and purchased the tan blackout curtains. I ordered these a 1/2†narrower than the width of my window opening and it’s the perfect size. Installing these was incredibly easy. Only reason for 4 stars is because the images and descriptions were unclear and I thought I was buying cordless blinds but these do have a chain cord. The color is also a bit darker than in the photo.
