Got this to replace my stop sign that fell over and broke into pieces. It is seen in one of my pics after being glued back together to have something until this item arrived. After reading reviews from other users, I was concerned about the functionality but it is actually not bad. I did open the display unit in an attempt to silence the audible chirp, but wound up just putting some tape over the speaker (see pic) to lessen the sound, as I really just need the visual that the stop sign provided. I also thought I had a sensor issue, however I realized that my old stop sign was too close to the sensor and was constantly being detected (see pic). Once I moved this, the unit went quiet. It does detect any movement near it, as designed, but when I’m working in the garage, I just turn off the sensor until I’m finished. Calibrating is pretty simple with the buttons. The only issue I’ve noticed is that the template for mounting the sensor on a wall is backwards (see pic) and there is a typo in the instructions (see pic), indicating that the sensor should be mounted about 5 feet high. Actually the display unit should be mounted 5 feet high or so. Otherwise, so far so good.

This thing sucks. It works like it’s supposed to while parking but the beeping sound has become random whether you are parking or not. Short beeps long beeps. It’s just just constantly going off. And there is no way to stop it. All day every day, it’s beeping.

Works well with the warning lights. Kind of disappointed that it requires plug in to electrical outlet. 9 volt battery is just for backup. Also, the high pitched squeal it makes when it activates is a little annoying. I put some tape on the little speaker to muffle the sound. I couldn’t turn the sound off.

This signal works perfectly. Made parking much easier.

We have a two car garage with work benches, storage shelves, gardening tools, trash and recycle bins around the walls. We only have one car that we also park in the center. I installed this tool to help us avoid drifting too far to either side or too far forward where we might hit something. Unfortunately the battery life is less than a week unless you remember to physically switch the sensor off after entering the garage and remember to switch it back on before you leave again. This shortcoming makes it only marginally useful but we've decided to keep it until we find a better solution to replace it with.

Listen, it takes a little while to get it adjusted. It does exactly what it says it does. The only problem, it does it a little too well. after a few weeks of that beeping.. You just want to drive into the garage wall to make it shut up.But it will do the job you asked it to do.

Works but it needs a switch to turn of the sound, due to the fact that when you go close to it, it goes off noisy.

Just add a battery for backup and/or plug it in. Drive into garage slowly, when your car is about 14 in away, light will go yellow. When your car is about 8 in from the light, it goes red and beeps loudly.
