Update: I now have 3 of these on different RCs and I'm still not done lol. All of my ESCs and batteries are either ic5 or ec5. I buy used beater RCs for 20-50 bucks from my LHS and rebuild them with this as the ESC. You literally can't beat the quality and reliability of these ESCs.Plug and play. No soldering required if you're on IC5. Fast. Reliable. I've got 2 of these. I'm making my way around all of my capable RCs to make them 6S.

This Arrma 185BLX ESC worked well in my Kraton EXB truck. I also purchased the 2050kv Arrma motor which hooked right up. It has excellent response and quick acceleration, and allowed the truck to wheelie on demand. My EC5 battery connectors plugged right in and I was rollin’! There were no issues, just plugged it in, turned it on and it was ready to go. I couldn’t ask for anything more!

I fixed the description. The “like new†turned out to be a very used esc with what appeared to be a new fan. Battery wire insulation split, esc filthy, motor wire tubing split, oh, and it doesn’t work. You can do better. Returned.

Got a box, with a lose esc rattling around, no padding, wires all over the place, even a few road stones threw in for good measure Seriously? Quality control on this item is dog crap.

Blx185’s are actually really good esc’s. I’ve installed one in every rc car that I have , never had one fail unlike traxxas. These are made by hobby wing for the OEM market. They don’t have all the fancy programming options their big bothers but they have all you really need. Just like all other esc’s upgrade the fan to a aluminum body one and your good to go.

Arrma BLX are rebranded Hobbywings, and this older style BLX 185 is a beast. Would take it over the current Spektrum line any day of the week. Only drawback it the small motor leads, so high power or lower kv motors with 6mm bullets are out. I've made adapters and run a 1650kv without issue in my 6s Arrmas
