These are great for re-stretching a completed painting. I'd prefer not to stretch for tightness when tacking the canvas, and risk cracking. A moderately firm stretch can be carefully tightened up with these.

What I really like about this product is that they are what was advertised. So often I order wedges and I end up getting a ham sandwich. Not this time! I am totally delighted with the wedge shape of this product, and I don't get the mustard stain on my shirt like I do with the ham sandwiches. You can't go wrong with this product.

Used for painting stretchers, but they are too small to fit in most of the key slot.

Wedges are too thick. Had to return them.

The inside of the package was covered in some sort of oil. Thankfully they were in a bag so the canvas keys didn't get it on them. The keys themselves are very cheap and poor quality, with jags in the wood.

I needed 8. Eight came in the package. But, only about 5 are the correct size to fit into the frame slots; two are too thick, and 1 is too thin. So, only 65.5% of the purchase is useful to me. Size is inconsistent where consistency is important.
